Antique furniture, ethnic décor, and original artworks from around the world give the villa its unique character. The style is not entirely traditional, but not overtly colonial either. At your service are a villa manager, chef, butlers, housekeepers, and groundskeepers who will take care of your comfort. Babysitting and massage services are available on request. The concierge is ready to arrange airport transfers, trips to nearby restaurants and attractions, as well as island tours with a private car and driver.
The villa (1,400 sqm) features a terraced Balinese garden with numerous pavilions (total area 3,300 sqm). At the top, the open-air living and entertainment pavilions are located side by side with the kitchen. A large dining pavilion and a guest bedroom share the second terrace. Further on is a swimming pool that stretches almost the entire width of the estate and is complemented by a pool house. At the very bottom is the master suite, surrounded by three guest suites and a two-level massage balé.
The living, entertainment and dining pavilions are completely open-sided, creating a true tropical atmosphere. Everywhere is comfortably cool thanks to high roofs with traditional Javanese hand-carved beams and ceiling fans. The spacious living pavilion on a raised platform seems to float, surrounded by ponds with fish. The adjoining entertainment pavilion features a timber-topped bar, a cozy lounge, a cinema projector, a backgammon table, and shelves filled with books, board games, and antiques.
You can enjoy delicious lunches and dinners in the charming open-sided dining pavilion, surrounded by fragrant gardenia bushes, traveller’s palms, and other exotic plants next to a well-kept lawn. The room is equipped with a Sonos audio system and decorated with an impressive collection of art, including ethnic Indonesian items, sculptures, and ceramic pots. The massive wooden table can seat up to 14 guests on traditional Javanese benches with carved decorations and elegant cushions. The contemporary kitchen at the head of the dining pavilion is equipped with modern appliances. A large island in the centre is complemented by tall chairs where guests can enjoy a snack or chat with the chef.
While the swimming pool (20 × 6 m, depth 1.33 m) is fully sunlit, the pool house promises a comfortable rest in the shade. It is the smallest and coziest of the residence's open-air pavilions. Wooden bird sculptures hang from the traditional roof, baskets are filled with refreshing towels, and sun loungers face the stone-edged pool. Double sun loungers are arranged along the pool, some in the sun and others in the shade of frangipani trees. They look very stylish on the lawn, surrounded by plants and tables within arm's reach.
The master suite has an iconic joglo roof over a wide terrace. But don't be fooled by its traditional appearance: the chic interior is equipped with air conditioning, modern lighting, and a television. The room is more like a chamber in a Javanese palace than a standard double bedroom — a true honeymoon paradise with a king-size bed under a carved wooden ceiling. Beautiful sheer curtains hang from the outer beams at a decent distance from the bed, creating a secluded corner for relaxing while watching your favourite film or taking an afternoon nap. The bedroom is made even more romantic by a huge open bathroom with a rain shower, a stone bathtub, matching dressers, and a double sink. A pair of silk kimonos is provided for you in the walk-in closet.
Four separate guest bedrooms are located within the gardens, each featuring a king-size bed and a charming lounge area on the front terrace facing the pool. All bedrooms have ceiling fans and air conditioning, walk-in closets with full-length mirrors, and large outdoor en-suite bathrooms with bathtubs and rain showers. The interiors are decorated with unique furniture and eclectic hanging lanterns, and each room has its own colour accent: orange, white, blue or violet.
Thanks to the villa's convenient location, you are literally in the centre of everything: there are good restaurants and entertainment venues in all directions, and the ocean is just a couple of minutes' walk away. Close by are Finn's Beach Club, La Laguna, Rip Curl School of Surf and beach tents where you can buy cold drinks and snacks. Canggu, a couple of kilometres northwest of the villa, offers a host of trendy cafés, yoga studios, boutiques, and restaurants. To the south-east of the villa is Seminyak with its beach clubs with swimming pools, first-class shopping and the best restaurants and nightclubs in Bali.
