Extravagant Rest in Bali

We found some unusual activities in Bali that will be surely like by those who do not prefer easy ways and beaten paths. The are worth trying also because you can avoid tourist crowds, rattle your nerves, and find your own tropical paradise. Volcanoes and fabulous lakes, exclusive spa treatments and a romantic royal-style dinner: all these treasures will be yours and only yours.

Take a Cruise

Spend at least a day in a cruise. Use this chance to show your new dress! Bali visitors like Nusa Lembongan island most of all. The sand on its beaches is so white that bedazzle you for a moment and the water is so clear that you can see all underwater life in the smallest details without diving. By the way, if you travel on a glass-bottom boat, you can observe the underwater life during the entire voyage, which does not mean you should miss snorkeling in the warm and pleasant water. When you get Lembongan, you will have a barbecue at the beach club and then will enjoy free time. What to do next is up to you. You are free to do whatever you want until the evening, when your boat pulls out to sail home. You may visit quiet fishing villages, admire the mangrove forests, explore the coral reefs, hang out in the spa or just stay on the hospitable white beach. And if you have thirst for adventures, you are also welcome: play volleyball in the pool, ride a horse just along the romantic edge of the surf, parasail or go snorkeling with a team of diving experts. When you return to your boat and the captain exclaims: “Cast off the lines!”, you will realize that you have not had such a day full of adventures for a long time…

Have a Helicopter Trip over the Volcano

Enjoying beautiful island panoramas from the air is like changing the usual point of view. To admire the nature and man-made things from the earth is nice but to see the same from a bird’s eye view is something completely different. Choose your helicopter trip route: temples, the most popular locations in Bali, or a tour over Kintamani Volcano. Now Kintamani is sleeping. The last time it woke up in 2005. The nearby village of Batur and the Ulun Danu Temple were raised by tremendous underground forces and now they are located a little higher than before. The helicopter trip will allow you to see the Agung Mountains, Mount Batur, the lake of the same name, bright green rice fields, and Kintamani Highlands in their entirety, not in parts. The pilot will specially hover at your request so that you can take photos. Needless to say that they will be among the best photos in your life. By the way, one of the Mount Batur craters is still active. So you will have the opportunity to make a couple of epic pictures. We should also mention the comfort of your aircraft with its cool air-conditioned lounge, comfortable seats, a TV, and an up-to-date audio system. At the end of your trip, a helicopter takes you to the private deck of Mason Elephant Park Heliport. After that you will return to your villa full of emotions and new impressions.

Play Golf at Kuta Golf

If you are a golf-lover or want to learn it better, you definitely must visit one of the most picturesque courses on the island. Kuta Golf is the most challenging 18-hole course in Asia. The relief is quite various so you can get the experience you need even if you are the beginner. Not to mention the views. Try to stay on the course until the dusk. Sunset at Dreamland and Balangan beaches (one of the most beautiful in Bali) is something unbelievable! Carved out of harsh limestone and set on top of brilliant white cliffs the course itself looks picturesque. You will appreciate the white rocks outlined by the endless blue horizon of the Indian Ocean. Do not forget to take the camera! Even if you don’t like golf, all these will make you a real golf-lover. And the golf course itself looks very authentic. Don’t forget that we are in Bali. So there is not only silky grass, lakes, and velvet-looking hills but also winding lianas, exotic herbs, and flowers. But be ready that the course is really difficult especially when the wind blows from the ocean. This stunning area may be use not only as a gold course but as a location to hold various events. So remember, maybe you have something in mind…

Experience the Diamond Peel and Treatment for Two

You can order Balinese massage in any spa or can even invite the master to your room. However, to experience something unusual and luxurious but without too much pathos, we recommend to visit Ayana Hotel in Jimbaran. All beauty treatments at Thermes Marins Spa are of high level, both literally and figuratively as the spa is located on the top of a cliff plunging into the sea. You will enjoy sunsets over the Indian Ocean being massaged or when swimming in the pool. To experience a fantastic endorphins rush, order a 2.5-hour Miracle ritual, which includes diamond dust for the face, strawberries, champagne, and a bath with rose petals. The ritual is highly recommended for romantic couples. Two more rituals that should not be missed are the warm shells massage and 7 Chakra Dhara Journey, where gems, aromatherapy and ayurvedic practices are used. If you are looking for a spa with an incredible ocean view, visit the Bulgari Spa. Here, in private pavilions or in the spa center, you can have any treatment: from a usual pedicure to a complex hours-long rejuvenation ritual. You can buy a whole package of services dedicated to the improvement of the face, body, spirit or all together. You can also have rituals for two and do yoga or meditation not in a group but with a personal coach. Bulgari is unlikely to disappoint you.

Try Balinese Kings Cuisine and Meet the Dusk near the Temple

Tanah Lot Temple is one of the most iconic and photographed sights of Bali. And this is the fact. A romantic trip lasts half a day but you will not be disappointed. This is an amazing place and the best location to admire the sunset. The sun slowly setting into the ocean lighting the silhouette of a stone sanctuary – one of the seven famous sea temples protecting the island from malign forces. If you are lucky and there is no tide that day, you can almost reach the temple and then have a walk along the beach to the Tugu Bali hotel. Here, at the Ji at Bali Sutra restaurant, you can have a sumptuous lunch of Indonesian dishes that royals enjoyed at the times of the Majapahit Empire. Of course, it means nothing for a person knowing nothing of the Balinese history. But we are here to explain you everything. The recipes of the dishes you will eat were invented 500 years ago. You would try what the princes ate and what foods the kings used to seduce their future wives in the 16th century. The restaurant itself, although it looks stylish and modern, focuses on antiquity in its interior. Colourful figurines, candlesticks, carved furniture and a lot of red colour. Red, as you know, is the colour of passion and… the colour that rises appetite.
