With its elegant interiors, easy layout, and generous terrace above the sea, this lovely villa is a perfect choice for those who enjoy the simple pleasures in life: swimming in an amazing infinity pool, admiring the exciting views, going down to Sivota Bay for a dip, and, when the sun begins its descent, walking into the harbor village to dine al fresco at the superb seafront tavernas.
The main entrance opens into the heart of the property, a spacious open-plan space housing a living area with a big L-shaped sofa and TV, a dining table, and a well-equipped contemporary kitchen. Soft grey concrete walls, white ceilings, and cool tiled floors are all design features used throughout the property, as are the wide sliding glass doors, which not only welcome the stunning views of Sivota Bay but also provide a seamless flow between indoor and outdoor areas.
Near the living area, a door leads into the master bedroom, a sea-view double (180 × 200) with terrace access, and an en-suite bathroom with a separate shower and bathtub. The other 3 bedrooms, a double (180 × 200) and two double/twins (180/90 × 180), are accessed via a corridor running past a guest shower room from near the kitchen. Each features a marble-clad en-suite shower room, sea views, and independent access to the pool terrace.
As mentioned above, all the villa's rooms lead via floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors onto a sea-view terrace that runs along the property. At the center, taking center stage and lined on its long sides by a stretch of decking and an emerald green lawn, is the fabulous 19m-long infinity pool. To one end of the pool is a cozily furnished shaded lounge, while to the other is a large al fresco dining area served by a barbecue and kitchen cleverly built into a triangular stone wall. Last but not least, guests can enjoy access to a shared 10m-long jetty below the property, benefitting from private water and shore-power facilities.
The villa is situated on the bay of Sivota in the southeast of Lefkada. The village and harbor of Sivota, with its charming seafront tavernas, bars and cafés, shops, small beach, and boat hire options, is an easy walking distance away (about 400m). Apart from the sea access in Sivota Bay, there is a good choice of beaches within easy driving distance, including those at Afteli, Ammousa, Vassiliki, and Mikros Gialos.
Exploring the island of Lefkada, which is 35km long and 15km wide, is comparatively easy in a week (if you can tear yourselves away from the views and pool of the villa!) and boasts a lot to see and do. The azure, clear waters of the Ionian Sea are a true attraction in itself and the varied coastline includes some golden sandy beaches and the dramatic white cliffs of Cape Lefkatas on the southern tip.
The wooded mountains of the interior, some of which rise to over 1,100m, provide perfect walking opportunities, some picturesque scenery, and a scattering of secluded villages where the lifestyle stays deeply connected to the island's ancient traditions and customs. At its northern point, Lefkada is connected to mainland Greece by a causeway and, via frequent ferry services from the port of Nidri, to several of the other islands of the Ionian archipelago (including nearby Meganissi), offering the amazing possibility of further exploring.
