This romantic villa, surrounded by olive trees, is perched on a hillside above Avlaki, in a peaceful, secluded place boasting inspiring views towards Kaparelli Island and beyond to the mountains of Albania. With elegant, cozy interiors, amazing furnished outdoor terraces, and less than a 10-minute drive to St Stephanos, this is a perfect home away from home in Northeast Corfu.
The villa is bright and airy due to large glass doors and a double-height pitched ceiling across the main living space with kitchen and dining area to one end and a spacious ensuite master bedroom (bath and shower) and dressing room to the other. A small room suitable for a cot is attached to the master bedroom. This level also houses a well-equipped gym accessed through the terrace. The gym offers TechnoGym equipment (JogForma, Skillrow and Synchro Forma), mats, skipping rope, medicine balls and bands.
The garden level includes four further ensuite bedrooms (double or twin beds and shower rooms), a TV/playroom, an office, and a laundry room. The bedrooms and playroom offer access to a sunny terrace and views of the garden beyond. The interiors are designed in soft, pale colours with modern and vintage furnishings, fabrics, and artwork sourced from around the world, adding colourful details and rich texture. All villa bedrooms are air-conditioned and enjoy sea views.
Large glass doors open onto the main covered terrace with a dining area seating 10 and numerous alfresco lounges, all of which boast breathtaking views. The terrace off the kitchen features the gas BBQ and further seating with steps leading to the pool and garden.
The exciting infinity pool (14 × 8 m, depth 0.8-1.9 m) elegantly curves around two mature olive trees and is a real central element of the outdoor space. The surrounding terraces are equipped with sun loungers, a day-bed, a hammock, plus a fully equipped and covered outdoor bar area. Within the garden, you will find a table tennis and pétanque court for boules and other garden games.
The villa is approximately 5 minutes by car or 20 mins on foot to Avlaki Beach, which offers two tavernas, sun loungers, and boat/paddleboard hire. Also, within a 20-minute walk from the villa or short drive lies the village of Sinies with a supermarket, bakery, fish shop, cafe, and wine cave. The lovely harbour village of San Stephano is 5 minutes by car, offering several restaurants, shops, bars, boat hire, etc. Lively Kassiopi with a greater choice of shops, bars, restaurants, cafes, harbour, and beaches, is about a 10-minute drive away.
Corfu, famous for its lush greenery and scenic interiors, is a popular holiday destination. This enchanting island boasts amazing beaches, inviting restaurants, vivid nightlife, and boat hopping between small coves and lovely tavernas, meaning that even the most restless adventure seeker will be satisfied. The northeast coast benefits from plenty of exciting bays and white pebbled coves. The areas higher up and away from the coast feature birds of prey, rare flora, and rustic simplicity.
Avlaki beach, a short drive down from the villa or a 1.6 km path walk, greets with a great choice of water sports and two tavernas. Nearby San Stephano is a simple and lovely harbour with a small beach and seafront tavernas boasting a vibrant atmosphere both day and night. The local village of Sinies, just 1.5 km from the villa, offers a well-stocked supermarket, local bakery, and coffee shop. Kassiopi is a short drive away (3.7 km) and offers a beautiful harbour, a wide range of tavernas, bars, shops, a pharmacy, and supermarkets.
This is a fantastic place to spend the holiday with your family or close friends: here you can head to town for tasty local delicacies, take a small boat to visit a beachside taverna for a long, lazy lunch, and come back home after a revitalizing swim in an amazing cove.
One of the greatest pleasures of this wonderful wooded stretch of coast is that the seafronted properties are easily accessible by boat. You can spend your mornings stopping off to swim at one of the many coves, soaking in the views of mainland Albania, before looking for a new taverna for lunch. The tavernas feature their own wooden jetties and their owners will greet you, catch your rope and tie up your boat before offering you a menu. Or instead of renting your own small boat you can take a skippered boat and spend a fabulous day at sea exploring more distant areas of Corfu – the pristine islands of Ereikoussa or Othonoi to the north west or the marvellous islands of Paxos and Antipaxos to the south, where you can have lunch before returning for a sundowner at one of the charming waterfront tavernas.
Corfu boasts a rich cultural heritage and plays a vital role in the ancient history of Greece. A visit to Corfu Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a must, where you can explore the Venetian architecture, forts, museums, winding streets, shops, bars, and restaurants.
