This lovely villa nestled among olive groves above the charming village of San Stephanos in northeast Corfu, one of the most beautiful locations on this popular island. This pretty villa can sleep up to 8 guests who will enjoy the exclusive location, panoramic views and private swimming pool.
Villa is a welcoming ‘home-away from-home’, built with local stone and furnished by the English owners with elegance and comfort. The property offers 5 bedrooms, 3 of which are en-suite, a contemporary kitchen and dining room, and a spacious, bright living room. The villa is equipped with a Bose iPod docking system, air conditioning and good Wi-Fi connection throughout.
On the ground level there’s a terrace running the length of the house, with a shaded area in the middle. Under this awning is a large dining table seating 10 and an outdoor lounge. On the lower level, next to the swimming pool, is a second terrace, also with a dining table, shaded by a wisteria covered pergola. A poolside summer kitchen and gas barbeque make this the ideal spot for relaxed dining by the pool.
Villa offers a combination of the charm of a traditional Corfiot country house with contemporary comforts and facilities. Boasting a secluded location, yet close to San Stephanos, it’s a perfcet villa rental for families and couples.
First level includes 2 bedrooms. Master Bedroom with super king double bed, large fitted wardrobes, French windows, and Juliet balcony offers a spacious en-suite shower room with double sink, glass walk-in shower, toilet, hair dryer. Twin Bedroom 2 with twin beds, large pine wardrobe has en-suite shower room with walk in shower cabin, sink and toilet.
Ground level includes 2 more bedrooms: double bedroom 3 with super king double bed and French windows to terrace and twin bedroom 4 with two single beds. The bedrooms share a family bathroom - bath, shower, hand basin, toilet, hair dryer.
Pool level houses additional double bedroom with super king double bed, French windows to terrace, desk, large sofa, dressing room area and en-suite shower room with walk in shower, hand basin, toilet.
Main Kitchen is exceptionally well-equipped offering range cooker, hood, dishwasher, microwave, large fridge/freezer, wine cooler, double sink, with tap for filtered drinking water, Nespresso coffee machine, SodaStream for sparkling water, Magimix, hand mixer, library of cookbooks, and everything a hostess needs to lay a beautiful table, including stylish cutlery, china and glassware, table linen, rattan table mats and much more.
The dining table in the kitchen seats up to, the large table on the adjoining terrace also seats 10. Compact summer kitchen adjacent to the pool seating area has fridge, sink and acrylic glasses and plates for use around the pool.
Lovely and spacious living room boasts large three-seater sofa and four armchairs, 2 sets of French doors opening onto the shaded terrace with breathtaking views, fireplace, TV with DVD, wall to wall bookcases, chess set, backgammon, cards, and other board games. There is also a fully equipped utility room with sink, washer, dryer, steam iron, ironing board.
The housekeeper services are available 5 hours a day, 6 days a week. All linen and towels are changed twice a week. Bathroom and pool towels are also provided. A cook services can be arranged by request. There are 2 cots, changing mat, and high chair but the house is not suitable for many very young kids (max. 2 under-8s are permitted).
The villa is located above the lovely harbour and village of San Stephanos (Agios Stefanos), one of the most beautiful locations on the popular north-east coast of Corfu. This picturesque fishing village has a cozy, traditional ambience but with a great choice of shops, some fabulous tavernas and a two great bars. You can walk down the hill to the village in ten minutes or it is two minutes in a car.
San Stephanos has a small beach with wooden jetties which are perfect for sunbathing or fishing and you can easily rent a boat, if you want to visit the picturesque bays and coves along the neighbouring coastline: Agni, with its two world famous tavernas; Avlaki with its large sandy beach, sailing school and horse riding; and Kerasia with its Blue Flag beach.
Renting a car allows you to explore further afield. The nearby port of Kassiopi is the north-east coast's largest village, with a great choice of shops, restaurants and bars. Its nightlife is lively but restrained. And of course, a visit to historic Corfu Town is a must: Venetian buildings, French colonnades, and permanent reminders of when Corfu was an outpost of the British Empire, such as cricket matches and ginger beer.
The property is about 40 kilometers (an hour's drive) from Corfu Town, the port and airport. From the end of March until the beginning of November there are daily direct flights from the UK and during the summer there are scheduled and charter flights from all over Europe. Another option is to travel by ferry from Italy.
