Set in the heart of a 200-hectare private estate on the edge of the scenic village of Jouques, this fabulous villa enjoys spectacular views over lavender fields and olive groves with the majestic mountain of Sainte Victoire as a backdrop. The property can be accessed via a private road through woodland and fields, or by helicopter, as a helipad is available on the villa premises.
Built of local stone with grey shutters and recently carefully renovated throughout by a Belgian interior designer, the property consists of two houses. The main villa is a majestic 2-level house with an entrance hall, a generous sitting room with open fireplace and access to the alfresco dining and BBQ terrace, a formal dining room with ceiling beams, a spacious fully-fitted kitchen with breakfast table and adjoining cold room and laundry. The first level includes four bedrooms: a spacious master bedroom with dressing room and lounge area, plus three double bedrooms, all with en-suite bathrooms.
The guest house is on the other side of a central courtyard and provides its own sitting room with a large flatscreen TV. Upstairs, you will find three double ensuite bedrooms and a kids' dormitory with four single beds and a separate bathroom.
The villa boasts 600 sq. m of living space in total, accommodating up to 18 guests in its bright and airy interiors opening to terraces on one side, and the courtyard on the other. Amenities include satellite TV, DVD, CD, Wi-Fi, underfloor heating, and air conditioning. There is a ping-pong table, and two garages for parking. The guests can enjoy a large private swimming pool (15 × 6 m) with a rolling electrical shutter, a pétanque game area, and two stables for horse lovers.
This charming villa offers a comfortable stay in peace and quiet. The nearest village, Jouques, is 5km away, and Aix-en-Provence is 25km away. Between Luberon and Sainte-Victoire, Jouques is a lovely village with a unique history tied to the colorful characters who have shaped it through the centuries. Its streets showcase a rich architectural heritage, with private mansions, religious buildings, and country-style buildings sitting side by side.
A little further afield, Aix-en-Provence, home to the artist Cézanne, serves as a living embodiment of the Provençal lifestyle with its orange stone buildings, fountains, markets, and plane tree-shaded alleys. Discover the city by wandering along the Cours Mirabeau, visiting the Saint-Sauveur cathedral, or the Vendôme pavilion.
In the distance, you can see the Sainte-Victoire mountain, a paradise for hikers and climbers. In the middle of a large nature reserve, it demonstrates a majestic panorama across the entire region.
