This exceptional traditional Provençal mansion (550 sq. m) is located in the golden triangle of the Luberon Regional Natural Park, opposite the charming town of Menérbès, 45 minutes' drive from the TGV train station (2 hours from Paris) and 1 hour from Marseille International Airport. A true oasis of peace and tranquillity, hidden in the heart of Provence. Its impressive architecture is a harmonious mix of tradition and modernity, and the carefully selected interior decor epitomizes timeless elegance.
The old farmhouse with outbuildings, mentioned as far back as the Wars of Religion (1573), has been completely restored. The project was designed and carried out by the owner, whose family has been in the antiques business for five generations. All work, from construction to finishing details, was carried out following advanced methods, mainly by local craftsmen. Today, after more than three years of work, the property offers four chic suites and a private villa.
The grounds feature various areas where you can enjoy yourself, relax, and unwind, such as gardens and terraces. Inside the house prevails an ambiance of a noble 18th-century Provençal residence, where antique furniture by great cabinetmakers, paintings, and decorative items are combined with extremely comfortable sofas and armchairs, creating an elegant and cozy setting. At the same time, modern amenities and technologies are available (home automation, air conditioning, security system, etc.). All bedrooms offer breathtaking views of Menérbès and the Luberon mountains and are equipped to the standards of luxury hotels.
The impressive staircase sets the tone right from the entrance. At your disposal are two exquisite living rooms (one with a beautiful fireplace, the other with a TV), a formal dining room for 12 guests, a charming study, and a superbly equipped semi-professional kitchen (coffee machine, dishwasher, 2 refrigerators, freezer, microwave oven, oven, juicer, kettle, toaster, wine cabinet).
Four bedrooms offer a double bed (180 × 200 cm), a TV, and a shower room. The fifth bedroom features a large double bed (200 × 200 cm), TV, access to the terrace, and a bathroom with a shower, bathtub, and double sink.
In the evening, both inside and outside the house, special attention is paid to lighting to fully enjoy the long summer nights. The estate also features a large enclosed park (1.35 hectares) with an olive grove of centuries-old trees, an orchard of cherry, almond, fig, and plum trees, as well as numerous terraces scattered throughout the grounds, offering lovely spots to relax. In front of the mansion, there is a French-style garden, a large heated swimming pool (17 × 5.5 m) complemented by a terrace with sun loungers and a summer shower, a summer kitchen, and an electric grill-plancha. There is a petanque court in the undergrowth. French garden, rose gardens, Mediterranean scents, lavender, myrtle, and rosemary — yes, you are in Provence!
Imagine waking up to the sound of birdsong and then enjoying breakfast on the sunny terrace. After breakfast, take a stroll through the lush garden or play pétanque in the shade of ancient trees. At midday, pop into the poolhouse for a delicious grilled lunch. In the afternoon, head to the nearest golf club or take a 15-minute walk to the town centre to explore its bars, restaurants, and local shops. On your return, enjoy a cosy evening by the fire.
