Built in 1824, the estate is set in a wooded park of more than 6000 sq. m, surrounded by 40 hectares of vines. It offers charming living rooms refurbished and decorated in modern style, with all the necessary amenities for a pleasant and private stay with friends or family in the heart of its fabulous vineyard.
The stunning neoclassical building of the 19th century has been fully renovated, and recovered its past architecture and former glory. Beside the house, 40 ha of vines, the cellar and the fantastic tasting room have been restored and modernized at their most. Today, the estate is a inviting place, full of life and still fitting its environment.
The entrance hall welcomes you into property’s unique ambience: a coloured chandelier designed by Bocci, three pictures covered with copper wires, art of Alice Andersen, adorn the dressed stones. On the right, there is a dining room with fireplace and a state-of-the-art kitchen equipped with everything you may need. On the left, the spacious Italian furnished living room and its cosy smoking room invites to relax.
Two cozy bedrooms (18 and 19 sq. m) face the yard and the vines. On the first level, you will find master suits (42 and 24 sq. m ) with the atmosphere of castle life: pastel colours, afghan carpets brought from London, antique furniture and modern bedding,… everything here evokes elegance and discrete luxury.
Finally, the top level can be used as a huge playroom: extra large sofas, flat screen TV, board games (backgammon, chess, Tarot). The ideal spot to gather with friends or family.
Only 45 minutes away from the center of Bordeaux, Bordeaux Mérignac airport and Saint-Jean railway station, PRF 0357, situated in Lamarque near the shores of the Gironde estuary, is open all year long. The estate is based in a triangle of land between Saint-Julien, Margaux et Moulis. It is an ideal location to discover the medocan region and to taste some of the finest wines in the world. Its proximity to the port of Lamarque allows the crossing of the estuary up to Blaye, but also with the famous Route des Chateaux of Medoc. This makes perfect combination of your stay with visit of other nearby wine estates as part of a historical and wine tourism tour.
