Welcome to ECSP 0453, a restored villa dating back to 1064. Surrounded by a large cork oak forest, this property is an oasis of peace and quiet. The house was a collapsing ruin when the current owners purchased it in 2012. After eight years of a careful and loving restoration the villa is finally ready to welcome guests. The owners have carefully preserved as many of the authentic features as possible, including the lovely twin staircase which takes central stage.
Filled with natural light almost all of the charmingly decorated ground level is one huge living space which has different zones. One of them is the kitchen which has a polished concrete central island topped by modern work surface. Also in the kitchen area is an old bread oven, log burning fireplace, large pantry area for kitchenware and food, and all the kitchen utensils and accessories one can think of. Alongside the kitchen area is a long dining table seating up to 8 guests. On the opposite side of the living space is a lounge area with huge open fireplace, TV and sofas, another long dining table for up to 8 people, bookshelves. There is a guest toilet on this level.
The twin staircase leads to the upper landing area which offers access to 4 en-suite bedrooms. These bedrooms are all of a similar quality and each features an en-suite bathroom with shower and forest views from two sides. A doorway halfway up the staircase leads to another area of the house which includes the other 5 bedrooms.
The bedrooms have been designed and decorated in a minimalist style, with natural elements and colors that showcase aesthetic beauty, inviting silence, harmony, and relaxation. All of the rooms feature a bathroom with beautiful views of the surrounding hill, shower, toilet, bidet, and wooden furniture. Each room is adorned with a copy of a 17th century Dutch painting. It is absolutely impossible not to feel relaxed here.
Outside area offers large 12m x 4m pool with 12 sun loungers, covered BBQ area with dining table and seating for up to 16 people, plenty of outdoor lounge areas, lemon trees throughout the grounds.
The house is eco-friendly and totally self-sufficient due to solar panels. The water comes from a 80m deep well and is totally clean and great for drinking as the villa is built deep in natural forest. Smoking is strictly forbidden inside and out. Pets are allowed upon request. The property is perfect for yoga retreats, Barcelona corporate getaways, small private events and group accommodation in Spain.
