This magnificent and wonderfully decorated villa in Venice is situated in the delightful residential area of Castello. Depicted by Canaletto and Guardi, it sits beside a 16th century church designed by Palladio and a 15th century bell tower by Codussi. The villa is only a short stroll away from three different vaporetti stops that will take you all over Venice. San Marco and the centre of Venice are only a 20-minute walk from the house. In a few minutes by water taxi you can reach any island in the Venice lagoon, such as Murano, Burano, Torcello, Mazzorbo and San Servolo. The setting is also suitable for the Biennale. The main entrance leads to the stairs and elevator. On the right there is an entrance hall, hallway and main kitchen. The stairs lead to the cavanna (former boat shelter) of 1,000 square feet. This huge vaulted space can be used for dining (seats 50) or other events. Beyond the cavanna is a gym with a shower and heated pool/hot tub. Doors also open to a small garden.
The first level features second kitchen, dining room seating up to 16 guests, two living rooms and 2 bedrooms, each with en-suite bathroom. The elevator arrives directly onto the dining/living room. Three doors open onto a generous terrace facing the water, a perfect place for alfresco dining.
On the second level you will find the master bedroom with lovely water views, a large tub and a balcony overlooking the Palladian church. The second bedroom features a Turkish bath. There are 2 more bedrooms, each with en-suite bathroom.
Accessed by stairs or elevator, the ample loft includes a third kitchen with an eating counter, a bathroom, and a living space with four sofa beds for sleeping up to four additional guests. Stairs lead to the 150ft roof terrace, ideal for dinner and drinks while admiring amazing views over Venice. There is central heating, air conditioning and internet access throughout the property. It is a perfect place for special events, such as a weddings or other celebrations.
