Nestled between the Prosecco Hills, this fabulous property makes the ideal retreat for those looking for absolute privacy and relaxation in one of the most cherished corners in Northern Italy. After being damaged during World War II, this amazing property has been masterfully rebuilt in the 1950s while keeping the ambience of a traditional 14th-century castle. Set on a hill, it can accommodate up to 13 guests offering eight bedrooms and seven bathrooms distributed over four levels.
The mansion is surrounded by a lush garden with a fabulous swimming pool, an arch-vaulted loggia and a generus poolside area equipped with cozy sun loungers inviting guests to sit back and relax. Enjoying a peaceful ambience, the poolside area offers an idyllic spot for soaking up the sun and enjoying lovely moments of relaxation in the company of a good book and a glass of prosecco. With beautiful frescoes and plenty of natural light, the upper level features a large dining area with beamed ceilings and a sophisticated living space featuring a large fireplace and cozy sofas and armchairs. As the evening falls, gather around the fireplace and enjoy a glass of local wine with your guests. Decorated with fine fabrics and antique furnishings, the middle level offers the bedroom 1, equipped with comfortable French bed, living room and en-suite bathroom with bathtub.
On the middle level you will also find the bedroom 2 with a comfortable king-size bed, an amazing en-suite bathroom complete with shower and large bathtub, and an adjoining arched terrace enjoying magnificent views over the valley. Flooded with light, the middle level also includes bedrooms 3 and 4 with comfortable double beds and en-suite bathrooms with tub. Each room is embellished with fine fabrics and antique furnishings.
The lower middle level feature a large kids’ bedroom with cozy queen-size bed, en-suite bathroom with tub, and wide terrace wit valley views. On the same level you will also find the kids’ living room. The lower middle level also includes bedroom 5 with queen-size bed and bedroom 6 with French bed. These two bedrooms share a bathroom with tub. The ground level offers the guest bedroom, complete with two French beds and en-suite bathroom with tub, and an adjacent living room.
The ground level has the entrance hall, a country-style well-equipped kitchen featuring all the facilities you might need during your stay, a laundry room and two staff bedrooms, one with double bed and the other with single bed, both sharing a bathroom. The property’s timeless charm combines with all the conveniences of modern living: TV with satellite channels and Sky TV, DVD player and Bose speakers, wireless Internet access and heating, hair dryer in each bathroom, and a parking space for four cars. Please note that the maid (or the maids, two) lives in the property, in a room near the kitchen, on the ground level.
Nestled on a hill with breathtaking views over the surrounding valley, this marvelous eight-bedroom castle is perfectly situated to explore the region’s cultural highlights and most striking natural wonders. Granting a calm mabience, the property is just a stone’s throw away from the town of Treviso, also known as “Little Venice”. Famous for its radicchio, this lovely medieval town features buildings with decoratively painted façades and a network of waterways deriving from the River Sile.
The property is also a few kilometers from the charming town of Vicenza, well-known for the buildings of Andrea Palladio, Italy’s most prominent architect. Inspired by the style and proportion of the buildings of ancient Rome, in 1580 Palladio designed the Teatro Olimpico, the oldest roofed theater in the world. The scenery, designed by Vincenzo Scamozzi for the first production, creates an illusion of long streets receding to a distant horizon through trompe d’oeil effects.
The castle is also a short distance from Padua, a lively city with an arcaded center and three handsome market squares: Piazza delle Erbe sells fruit and vegetables, Piazza dei Signori supplies household goods and Piazza dei Frutti offers both. Padua’s famous university, founded in the 13th century, accounts for the town’s youthful population. But the main attraction is the Cappella degli Scrovegni, a chapel home to a remarkable fresco cycle completed in two years by Giotto.
Water has always been part of people’s lives in Veneto, and this especially concerns Venice, which is built on it. Venice is a unique gem sparkling in its lagoon, home to valuable works of art representing the wealth and power of a great seafaring republic. Captivating for adults, inspiring and mysterious for children, Venice is a city where everyone goes by water on gondolas and where Carnival has made disguise de rigeur: wear a cloak and a mask and play hide and seek.
