This charming Tuscan-style farmhouse villa (400 sq. m) located within the Colline Lucchesi Wine District, provides modern and flexible accommodation with great facilities including a heated indoor swimming pool with Jacuzzi seats (4.5 x 3.5 m) with a lovely windows overlooking the woods and an outdoor swimming pool (6 x 12 m) among the olive grove. Ideally suited to larger groups up to 14 guests, the villa consists of a main building and its annex. It has been carefully renovated to a chic country house full of character and charm.
Wonderful and comfortably furnished, the villa is situated among private vineyards and olive groves on the rolling hills just 11 km east of Lucca in a village which offers an easy access to all the most popular sights of Tuscany such as Florence, San Gimignano, Pisa, Cinque Terre and the beaches of Viareggio and Forte dei Marmi. To explore the surrounding countryside on foot will be one of the advantages of the villa location, as there are many walks nearby through woodlands and vineyard fields, and the hilltop villages of Valgiano and Montecarlo where you can find some of Lucca’s best restaurants and views are just a short drive away.
This is one of those unique Tuscany’s farmhouses villas that really strikes the imagination. At ground level of the main house there is a beam-ceilinged spacious living room with original stone fireplace and a TV with international channels. There's a fully equipped traditional kitchen featuring , and a classically styled open plan dining room seating up to 14 guests. Both the dining room and a second living room here have access onto two lovely outside terraces: one of them is sunny, set at the front side of the house where the outdoor lounge area is and the other is in the shade on the back side of the farmhouse where an alfresco living and dining area with an American Weber BBQ and wood fired pizza oven is along with a Jacuzzi. A toilet and a separate laundry room complete the level.
Two staircases leads to two separate areas on the first level of the main building where there are 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms: 1 double bedroom with en-suite bathroom with bath tub and built shower, 2 double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms with built-in showers, 1 double bedroom and 1 twin bedroom sharing a bathroom with built-in shower.
The villa's lower level boasts exposed stone walls and vaulted ceilings where an indoor heated pool is situated. While soaking in the warm water enjoying jetted tubs and the picturesque view over the woods and the hills, a lovely fireplace will add peace and charm to your moments of relaxation.
The annex is set right next to the main building (just 10 metres away) and it offers a large terrace equipped as a lounge with view and direct access to the main building shaded outdoor living area and to the Jacuzzi tub set among a well-kept garden terrace overlooking a waterfall in the woods. The annex includes 1 bedroom suite with a king size bed and living area and 1 bedroom with two twin beds. Both bedrooms share a bathroom with a built in shower and have French windows accessing the panoramic terrace with lounge area with view.
The villa is fully air conditioned and it has a very reliable Wi-Fi connection.
One of Tuscany’s most attractive cities, Lucca’s Renaissance city walls contain more than their fair share of wonderful historical sites. Upon arrival to its cobbled streets, the first thing we suggest is walking or cycling around the pathway on top of the city’s perimeter wall. Offering breathtaking views of the nearby countryside, this is a perfect way to get your bearings.
Italy sets the bar high when it comes to culinary delights, and Lucca’s country-style dishes are no exception to this rule. Visit its numerous food markets or dine at one of Lucca’s amazing restaurants, amid atmospheric tree-lined streets. The city prides itself on its fine dining, with its chefs using only the freshest local produce.
After sating your hunger, visit one of Lucca’s museums and art galleries. One of the most popular is the Puccini Museum. Set in the house where this great composer was born, you’ll learn all about Italy’s fascinating history as the birthplace of opera.
