PRI 0283 is an amazing combination of traditional architectural features, modern design, quality local materials and flawless craftsmanship. All the requirements of modern living are catered for and the atmosphere is at once inviting and inspiring.
Accommodation is arranged on one level. Furnishings and fittings throughout are of a very high quality and the nice colour scheme of greys, whites, blacks and natural wood creates a calm, relaxing ambience. In the central part of the house is a spacious common living and dining area with high white beamed ceilings, large sink-in sofas, a fireplace, a study area and a series of French windows offering access to terraces on both sides of the house.
To one end of this area, looking over and opening onto the main al fresco dining area, is the fully-equipped kitchen, with big central island, professional range, double-fronted fridge-freezer, wine fridge and practically everything else a chef could need for inspiration. The flooring throughout is in beautiful local petrol-grey pietra pece. The bedrooms are situated in two wings, one at each end of the living area.
The first includes three bedrooms: a master double (200 × 200) with walk-in wardrobe, spacious en-suite bathroom with separate tub and shower, decorative fireplace and large French windows opening onto a private panoramic terrace; a double bedroom (160 × 200) with views out over the countryside and an en-suite shower room; a double-twin with (200/100 × 200) with access to the surrounding terraces and an en-suite bathroom with small tub and shower connection. This wing also features a guest bathroom.
The second wing offers three more bedrooms: a double (200 × 200) with en-suite shower room and access to the pool area; a second double (160 × 200) with en-suite shower room and terrace access, a double-twin (200/100 × 200), also with en-suite shower room and access to the surrounding terraces
Finally, on the lower ground level entered from the grounds and with views of the surrounding countryside, you will find a fully equipped gym, a pool changing room and a bathroom with shower.
Arrival at the property is via a wide sunny terrace, at the centre of which is an olive tree. Equipped with a table and chairs, this area is accessed from two of the bedrooms. The main focus of your al fresco life at the villa, however, is on the other side of the property, where generous terraces, furnished for dining, barbecuing and relaxing, and a maintained triangle of green grass give way to the welcoming cobalt waters of the infinity pool (17 × 6) and the olive-dotted countryside beyond.
The villa is nestled in rolling hills near the amazing baroque town of Noto and the picturesque nature reserve of Vendicari. Noto is arguably the most beautiful of a string of charming baroque towns (including Modica, Ragusa and Scicli) that make the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Val di Noto. Rebuilt in flamboyant style after a major earthquake in 1693, they are masterpieces of flair, style and town planning.
Vendicari Nature Reserve, meanwhile, offers some of the best sandy beaches in Sicily and is also home to migrating flamingos, sea turtles and a host of other wildlife. If hiking in the hills is your thing, then there is some fantastic scenery in the rushing streams and waterfalls of Cassibile and at the Paleolithic burial sites in the dramatic valley of Pantalica.
