Accommodation is laid over three separately accessed houses which, whilst resembling a single building from the outside, are not connected internally. The "main house" is nearest to the pool and offers a cozy open-plan living and dining room with large glass doors opening amazing views over the gardens and pool, a well-equipped kitchen, also with garden access, one double bedroom with an alcove bed (150 × 195) and an en-suite bathroom with bathtub and rainfall shower, a study with a decorative daybed and a second bathroom.
The middle of the three houses is a classic trullo and includes a double bedroom (with bed 160 × 190 in an alcove) and an en-suite shower room.
The third house, furthest from the pool, includes two bedrooms, a double (140 × 190) and a double-twin (180/90 × 190) and two shower rooms (one of them en-suite), a living room with access to the gardens and an outdoor dining and lounge area, a dining room with genuine bread oven and a kitchen.
The houses have been wonderfully restored to a very high standard and equipped with modern amenities: many of the authentic features have been kept, some fulfilling their original function, others being cleverly put to other uses. Traditional Puglian and fascinating Indian furniture and furnishings blend to create a bright, pleasant ambience throughout, while the bathrooms match modern-style elements with genuine stone-carved wash basins.
ECI 0203 is surrounded by generous gardens and terraces with a variety of shady spots for outdoor living and dining. Green lawns combine with paved areas and all has been planted with a great diversity of colourful and aromatic Mediterranean flora. The central stage, however, takes the amazing swimming pool (12 × 7) with charming views over the surrounding woods (accessible from the gardens) and gentle countryside.
The property is located at the southern end of the Valle d'Itria between Ostuni, a wonderfully restored baroque town with fabulous panoramic views, and the lovely centre of Ceglie Messapica. The Valle d'Itria, however, is probably most famous for its trulli, and nowhere are these more attractive than in the picture-perfect town of Alberobello. Locorotondo, Cisternino and Martina Franca are also well worth a visit. If you are searching for beaches, the Adriatic coast boasts endless stretches of sand and some well recommended lidos. Further afield, Lecce, Gallipoli, Otranto and Monopoli are popular destinations waiting for you to explore their secrets.
