This fabulous chateau offers you and your guests the sophistication of a bygone era combined with 21st-century standards of comfort and convenience. Start your day with a walk to the Boulanger to collect warm bread, relax on the terrace over a glass of cool white wine, star gaze as night falls or plan a picnic in the woods. The choice is yours and the opportunities to enjoy French Chateau life are endless. If you don’t want to cater a private chef for you can be organized and housekeeping can keep everything clean and tidy during your stay.
Whatever are your plans: a peaceful reunion of family and friends, a tour of the Normandy sites, a creative workshop, a business meeting or a private wedding ceremony, you will enjoy the beauty, freedom, flexibility and space provided by the chateau and its estate.
The Chateau was built on the site of the family’s 11th century medieval castle. The present grand design was under construction by 1789. It was inspired by Louis the Sun King’s Palace of Versailles. The estate covers 360 acres of park, woodland and farmland. The work of renovation started in 2005 go on today.
Chateau is a short drive from the Channel ports and Paris, but really far away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. As you enter the gates of the private estate the only sound you will hear is the wind in the trees and birdsong. The Chateau was built to excite and fascinate. The ground level rooms are light filled and designed “enfilade”. One room flows into another as you walk from the marble floored reception hall to the spacious dining room and further on to the living room and library.
All common areas and en-suite bedrooms enjoy beautiful, panoramic views over the park or farmland that surround the property. The Chateau was recently refurbished to offer all the amenities of contemporary living whilst keeping the style and beauty of an 18th century way of life.

A five-minute walk through the estate’s park, brings you to the newly restored Farmhouse. A lovely and welcoming home, wonderfully furnished with antique pieces, it offers the ideal place for a more relaxed and casual stay with all the comforts of the Chateau.
The Farmhouse features its own private entrance and driveway and is independent of the Chateau and other farm buildings. It faces a spacious, walled apple orchard, newly planted with heritage cider varieties. The gravel patio in front of the house is equipped with everything the guests may need for alfresco dining – barbeque and stylish garden furniture. Just next to the farmhouse, is a large barn, where the barbeque is stored, it is also ideal for storing your bikes.
The house can comfortably sleep up to 9 guests. The configuration of the bedrooms is as follows: 1 double, 2 twins and 1 triple. A baby bed and high chair are provided upon request. The orchard offers space and freedom for kids to play safely.
The open plan kitchen/dining area includes a huge fireplace and wood is provided so that guests can enjoy the warmth and the smell of a crackling log fire on chilly winter nights or autumn mornings. The property is centrally heated and very homey. For guests who love to cook the kitchen is well equipped to prepare simple meals or gastronomic feasts. Just off the kitchen is a separate laundry room with washer and dryer.
The bedrooms are all en-suite and one of them is on the ground level offering easy access to the outdoors. All bedlinen is provided along with towels and free toiletries. The housekeeper will make up your beds so that on arrival you just need to stock the fridge and relax.
The farmhouse provides cozy accommodation and following amenities: central heating and open log fire, high-speed Wi-Fi, 1 double bedroom on the ground level, 2 twin rooms and 1 triple on the second level, fully-fitted kitchen, barbecue and garden furniture, a sofa bed in the kitchen-living room accommodating 2 additional guests, if required, laundry room.
A short walk from the Chateau and Farmhouse, there is an Orangery looking out onto a walled garden. French doors open onto the gravel terrace and the lawn beyond. The Orangery is a perfect space for hosting dinners, cocktails, dancing and seminars. At your convenience there are: formal dining space for 64 guests, open log fire, projector and screen, Wi-Fi, work tables and chairs are available for conferences.
