Built within the exclusive estate opposite the famous Six Senses Samui Resort, the short drive to the villa gives but a flavour of what awaits. As the wide wooden entrance way doors open leading across the Koi-carp filled pond, the ocean view unfolds before your eyes. Both sides of the pathway offer double en-suite bedrooms with King-sized beds, TVs and floor-to-ceiling windows. The whole property is orientated towards maximum daylight and amazing views. In either of these bedrooms the bathroom is hidden by the back wall appearing to be a fully-fitted wardrobe from one wall to the other. There is a ‘secret’ entrance to the ample bathroom with WC, sink, shower, bathtub and soft bath towels. Outside is an open-air patio with cozy seating.
One level down you’ll find two more pavilions. One includes a King-sized bed with TV and en-suite bathroom with another double bedroom adjoining to the rear through a doorway. This room could be used for adults or older children making it an ideal family pavilion. On the opposite side of the pathway is another King-sized, en-suite bedroom with TV and an outdoor patio. And adjoining this one to the rear through a doorway is a bunk room that can sleep four kids and is equipped with a large TV. All of the bedding is premium down feather bed toppers, pillows, and duvets. In addition, all of the bathrooms offer ‘Common Ground’ brand facial wash, soap, shampoo and conditioner. And all the bedrooms are completed with mini-fridges, safety deposit boxes and are air-conditioned.
Down a few steps is the third level where you will spend most of your time. The entire room, covering the breadth of the property is open-plan with floor-to-ceiling glass doors and windows for panoramic views and perfect light. To the left is an air-conditioned gym with a running machine, a Pilates reformer machine, weight bench, mats and free weights. One wall is totally mirrored and a second wall is completely glass allowing natural daylight. There’s also a wall-mounted TV and it has doors that can be closed to separate it from the rest of the family area. Next to the gym is a WC and shower, a pool table and a working space with a desk, a laser printer, monitor and a webcam. And there is Wi-Fi throughout the entire property.
Next to that there are comfy sofas and a Samsung 85 inch NEO QLED 8K TV for family movie nights or your favorite sporting events. And there’s a brand-new telescope that’s been installed for watching the night starry sky that is clearly visible due to the very small light pollution. In-between the lounge area and the kitchen there’s a large dining table that seats 12 and a breakfast bar with stools which kids adore.
The open-plan kitchen is well-proportioned with two separate sinks, two work-top islands, two large fridge-freezers one of which has an inbuilt wine cellar plus there’s an additional fridge for beers and soft drinks. The kitchen is equipped with necessary appliances and facilities including Le Creuset pots and pans, utensils, glassware and tableware, coffee machine, microwave, a grill, an air-fryer, kettle, toaster, food mixer/juicer plus a dishwasher, a five-ring gas cooker with an electric oven and overhead extractor. The family room is fully air-conditioned and also has ceiling fans throughout.
There’s an extensive wine and cigar menu and upon request the villa can provide Sheeshas (for outdoor use only). On the terrace you will find a gas Weber BBQ Grill with full accessories and thanks to the fabulous weather conditions on Samui, every night could be barbecue night.
The terrace is generous with amazing views taking in Plai Laem bay, the Big Buddha temple, Bangrak bay, Fisherman’s Village waterfront and the towering hills of Koh Pha Ngan. Part of the terrace can be shaded with inbuilt screens and there’s a table and chairs for alfresco dining plus cozy lounge space with outdoor ceiling fans and soft lighting for the evenings. And of course there is the fantastic pool about 14 metres in length with built in seating at one end for endless ocean views with perhaps a late afternoon cocktail or two. At the other end, the pool offers shallow space for little ones who can paddle and play around in safety and the surrounding terrace area also benefits from sun-loungers and umbrellas and an outdoor shower. The terrace flooring is made from naturally non-slippery travertine and the pool has a salt water system (less chlorine) which is surely better for the skin and hair. The villa can host small weddings and events with a transparent stage placed in the pool for a happy couple’s ceremony or even just a romantic dinner for two.
Below the pool is the fourth level which presents a grassy lawn with a paved walkway over ancient rocks to the sea. The villa includes two kayaks (both seat two people) that you can freely use and just to the right you can see the small island of Koh Som which is about a ten minute kayak paddle away. Technically, Koh Som is made of two very tine private islands of which Koh Som is the larger island on the far right and Koh Lum Mu Noi is slightly to the left. Koh Lum Mu Noi is mostly rocks while Koh Som boasts everything you'd want in a tropical island starting with sandy shores and coconuts in the shallows. It’s uninhabited but longtail boats do take visitors there from the nearby Plai Laem pier.
You’ll be very cordially greeted by your Villa Manager and the team. It’s a lovely villa for kids and families, it’s close to local amenities and cultural sights like Wat Plai Laem and the Big Buddha temple complex and it’s about 15 minutes to the night-life of Chaweng and the great night market at Bophut Fisherman’s Village with the beaches, bars and restaurants of Plai Laem, Bangrak and Cheong Mon even closer.
