This extraordinary villa is a truly special home, nestled in a privileged location from which you can admire the most picturesque sunrises on the Costa Brava. Built in 1918 in Cuban-style architecture, this 5-bedroom villa (400 sqm) is one of the most unique and charming houses in the region. Preserving its authenticity and all architectural details, it has been completely renovated and equipped for maximum comfort.
The main house has four double bedrooms, and one additional bedroom is found in the annex. Each bedroom features its own bathroom and direct access to the outdoors. Interior design blends period furniture and contemporary art, beautifully combining tradition and modernity. The annex has a kitchen-dining room with a fireplace, a bathroom, and a double bedroom overlooking the garden.
The terraces and rooms offer enchanting views of the Bay of Pals with the Medes Islands in the background. The vast garden, full of lush vegetation, features a saltwater swimming pool, an alfresco dining area, and a barbecue zone. Furthermore, the private chapel offers an original and intimate setting for celebrations such as weddings or others.
The beach is within easy reach, and after a five-minute walk, you will find yourself on one of the most beautiful beaches on the Costa Brava, Illa Roja Beach. The charming town of Begur is less than a 10-minute drive away.
Begur, on Spain’s Costa Brava, is located at the Mediterranean Sea, approximately 80 km south of the Spanish-French border and 60 km from Girona Airport. The distance to Barcelona International Airport is about 150 km. From here, it is about a 10-minute drive or shuttle bus ride (in season) to wonderful beaches such as Sa Tuna, Aiguablava, Aiguafreda, and Sa Riera, where you can enjoy all kinds of water sports. The villa is located by the sea and offers beautiful views of the beaches of Raco and Pals.
The enchanting town of Begur is nestled on a hilltop, towering over the surrounding Catalonian countryside, and offers its guests fantastic views, cozy cobbled streets, and narrow tree-lined roads. The central square is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the Catalonian way of life with a glass of excellent local wine made from grapes grown in the nearby hills. Begur and its surroundings are renowned for their gastronomic offer and boast an excellent selection of restaurants.
The area produces high-quality wine, and the local vineyards are well worth a visit, inviting you to enjoy fascinating wine tastings. The coastal area around Begur is one of the best places for diving in Spain, with the only protected national marine park. Diving schools are found in the neighboring towns of Fornells and Aguafreda, as well as in Begur itself. Boats can also be rented locally on a daily basis. Other activities include windsurfing, tennis, and horseback riding. You can rent bicycles to ride between the rice fields towards Torroella de Montgrí.
In addition to the Mediterranean coast with its many attractions, such as sun, sea, and beautiful beaches, the area is popular with golfers, who can choose from nine excellent courses in the immediate vicinity. Other popular activities in the Begur area include walking, mountain biking, and horseback riding, which are available year-round. In winter, you can enjoy the warmth of the winter sun on the coast and, occasionally (a 2-hour drive), head to the Pyrenees for skiing.
