Situated just a 1.5-hour drive from the Marbella Club, close to the magnificent Tarifa on the southernmost tip of Spain, where the Mediterranean meets the Atlantic, this beautiful villa is a rustic yet elegant private home accommodating up to ten guests. Surrounded by a lush pine forest and jagged mountains, it is a true beach lover’s haven, boasting stunning views across the Gibraltar Strait to Africa’s imposing Ceuta and the shimmering lights of Tangier in the distance. The property (670 sqm) is perched on a bluff amidst the protected natural reserve of El Estrecho, where you can watch migrating birds and enjoy the wind, inviting you on an exciting journey.
The villa's authentic Tarifa stone structure and slate roofs were preserved to blend harmoniously into the rocky landscape, while the interiors' colour palette allows it to merge with its surroundings: lush greenery, azure blue sea shades, and sandy, organic hues. Limestone-washed walls and floor-to-ceiling windows invite the natural light in, while locally sourced Spanish ceramics add an element of original Andalusian craftsmanship. The result is a light, airy, quiet space celebrating relaxation and serenity.
The villa features five bedrooms divided over three traditional stone buildings, each with a private entrance, making it ideal for families or groups of friends looking to spend time together, but with some extra independence and privacy. At the entrance is an independent guest double bedroom with an ensuite bathroom (shower, double sink). The main house offers two guest rooms with ensuite bathrooms (one double with a shower and the other twin with a bath), a terrace, a guest WC, an open kitchen, and a living room. Further on are two guest double bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms (shower and double sink) and independent access.
Boasting full panoramic views and private access to the Punta Paloma beach, the villa also benefits from a sprawling plot of land (2 ha) with private gardens, a barbecue area, an outdoor fitness platform, a swimming pool, a children’s play area, a vegetable garden, a summer kitchen, and a double treatment room. Sitting at the bottom of the garden are three wonderfully renovated wooden huts, now transformed into tranquil relaxation spaces. A changing room, a sauna, and a treatment room are joined by a shaded patio, making a private wellness oasis where you can unwind and rejuvenate.
The villa offers the traditional Spanish indoor-outdoor living style: the open-plan living room will become the house's social hub, with enough space for large groups to enjoy cosy cinema nights and board games by the wood-burning fireplace; whilst a spacious outdoor terrace leads the way to a kitchen and BBQ for al fresco dining, lovely vegetable garden, ocean-facing infinity pool, yoga terrace and a shallow lagoon and playhouse for little ones.
Private access to a nearby beach cove guarantees you can make the most of the villa's coastal setting, and a small beach hut is the ultimate spot for a sundowner.
Tarifa’s exciting history dates back to 710 AD, when the Berber warrior Tarif ben Malluk made his mark in this scenic village. From ancient battles to its role as an important port, Tarifa has witnessed centuries of captivating history unfold. The name of the city, from which the word ‘tariff’ is derived, comes from the fact that it was the first port in Europe to charge merchants for docking. Today, the town perfectly combines its Roman and Moorish heritage with a laid-back, bohemian flair that is the essence of Tarifa’s special appeal.
Tarifa benefits from a unique microclimate with summers tempered by refreshing Atlantic waters and the mildest winters in continental Europe. This exceptional climate and amazing landscapes make Tarifa the perfect destination for those looking for tranquility, natural beauty, and a real escape from the everyday.
Due to its special wind conditions, Tarifa has become a sought-after place for windsurfing and kitesurfing. The combination of the Levante (easterly wind) and Poniente (westerly wind) creates ideal conditions for watersports, while the spectacular beaches of Playa de los Lances, Valdevaqueros, and Punta Paloma are among the most popular in Europe.
