The eco-friendly villa operates mainly on solar energy and collects rainwater for the house and garden's needs. Most of the kitchen produce is sourced from local farms or grown in the estate's own spice and vegetable garden, and many of the bathroom and spa products are locally handcrafted from organic ingredients.
The tropical and mountainous island of Praslin is the second largest in the Seychelles archipelago: it is 4 km wide and 11 km long. Praslin is home to the picturesque Vallée de Mai, one of two UNESCO World Heritage Sites in the Seychelles, as well as several amazing white sand beaches. Among them are Anse Lazio and Anse Georgette, which are listed among the best beaches in the world. The estate is located in the centre of Côte d'Or beach, on the north-eastern coast of the island, just a 10-minute drive from the entrance to Vallée de Mai.
