This wonderful estate (800 sqm, plot 1,200 sqm), steeped in Portuguese charm and history, is a truly delightful place to stay. Whitewashed walls, dark blue window frames and a thatched roof are what you will see when you first approach the villa. Located in the stunning Carrasqueira area right on the coast, the 5-bedroom villa boasts numerous outdoor seating areas and spacious wooden terraces surrounding the charming cottages.
The complex comprises five separate cottages and a tree house, as well as a fabulous outdoor swimming pool (15 × 5 m) and a second smaller one (3 × 1.6 m), which both can be used by all guests. The interiors are warm and cosy, with a friendly ambience that encourages relaxation. Traditional Portuguese woodwork (exposed beams, panelled walls, wooden shelves, tables and beds) is used extensively in combination with large windows and bright colour accents of throws and artwork, creating an incredibly cosy and welcoming setting and accentuating the bohemian and ethnic spirit of the place.
Most of the furniture in the house was handmade by the owner, using unique materials such as porcupine quills and coral, creating a sense of uniqueness. Cottage 1 features a kitchen, living room, and master bedroom (220 × 200 cm bed). Cottage 2 has two bedrooms (one twin and the other double), while cottage 3 offers one more twin bedroom (120 × 190 cm beds), making this place ideal for both families and large groups of friends.
There are also five bathrooms on-site (three with a bathtub and two with a shower) as well as a guest WC. All bedrooms are spacious and bright, featuring comfortable beds and stunning views of the surrounding landscape. The tree house itself is unique. Climb up the illuminated wooden staircase to a lovely bedroom 5 offering a double bed (160 × 200 cm), an en-suite bathroom with a huge window overlooking the scenic surroundings, and a charming balcony.
The main pool is equipped with sun loungers for all guests, and on one side, it is bordered by beautiful fuchsia flowers (seasonal) that add to the overall charm. There is a second, smaller pool for those who want to spend a moment or two in peace and quiet, complemented by a large sofa with soft cushions for your ultimate relaxation. The villa grounds feature numerous outdoor areas for relaxation and dining. All in all, this is a real gem and the perfect holiday getaway for two families or groups of friends.
There are four mountain bikes at your disposal, which you can use at any time, and the concierge will be happy to arrange a quad bike rental for those who want to ride a little faster. Housekeeping services are available 8 hours a day, except Sundays, and a cook can be provided if needed at extra cost.
