Magnificent apartment (300 sq. m) in one of the most impressive palazzo on the Grand Canal on the second level of a historical building has recently been carefully renovated in order to preserve and enrich the authentic features of its 18-century interior, including the beautiful Rococo and Neo-Classical stucco work representing the scenes from classical mythology.
The apartment comprises a gorgeous main salon as well as a further spacious living room, 4+2 bedrooms, 5+2 bathrooms, breakfast room and a kitchen. There is also a staff bedroom accessible from the kitchen for a nanny. You can rent the apartment with 4 or 6 bedrooms.
The enchanting grand salon is an impressive space, where you can still feel in the spirit of the beginning of 20th century when it was the salon of the Princess Winnaretta de Polignac, née Singer, a very important person for the European musical avant-garde, and among the Palazzo guests there were a lot of celebrities including Ethel Smyth and Igor Stravinsky. The grand piano was once the instrument of Igor Stravinsky and many other celebrated pianists who enjoyed playing it. It should be mentioned that Wagner appreciated two art-nouveau sofas in the salon during his visits to the palazzo in the 19th century. And you can easily imagine the famous composer resting there, on a charming Spring day, enjoying the cool breeze flowing into the room from the large open windows.
In addition to some valuable paintings, the apartment is decorated with authentic period pieces from the Empire and Neoclassical era. An original wooden table, which can be extended to seat 18 guests during dinner, is set in the centre of the room, and is the lovely spot to enjoy many hours in good company, while enjoying a glass of good wine or savoring an exquisite meal. The spacious step-on balcony offers striking views of the Grand Canal and some of its most imposing palaces, such as Palazzo Barbaro and Palazzo Franchetti.
The Master bedroom benefits from three huge windows facing the Grand Canal and the Accademia bridge, framed by elegant Rubelli drapes. A cozy lounge area allows guests to retire to their room for extra privacy and relaxation. The king-size bed with high-quality mattress and 4 hypoallergenic pillows is adorned with Rubelli fabric. A walk-in closet space is hidden behind the bedroom. Here, a passage leads to a spacious windowed bathroom with tub and bathroom amenities by Occitane.
The bedroom 2 offers a queen bed 150 × 190, tailor made to fit the ancient Empire-style frame, and complemented by period dresser, cupboard and matching nightstands. The bedroom can be accessed through the main salon, and connects to a small corridor, leading to a bathroom with walk in shower, tub and bathroom amenities by Occitane.
The bedroom 3 is entered via a corridor, and through the grand living room which faces the palazzo jasmine-filled courtyard. This generous bedroom boasts a lounge area with antique bureau, high ceilings, and a beautiful canopied bed, purchased from the collection of Charlie de Beistegui, the scandalous designer and connoisseur who owned the nearby Palazzo, also remembered for a masked ball he gave there in 1951. The good quality standard queen mattress guarantees a comfortable night rest. A spacious bathroom with stand-alone tub and separate shower, double sink and Occitane amenities complete this suite.
The double en-suite bedroom 4 with standard queen-size bed (can be set up as twins) is smaller in size and is accessed through the bedroom 3. It is perfect for two kids or close friends or family.
The further two-bedroom suite (bedrooms 5 and 6) is accessed either from the main salon or with a separate entrance. The first bedroom offers a French bed (130 × 190), and faces a peaceful internal courtyard. The second bedroom features standard queen bed and Grand Canal views. There are two bathrooms with tub/shower.

Situated in the Art Gallery district of Venice named Dorsoduro, also known as the most prestigious district in Venice, it is a stone-throw from the Accademia bridge and a 15-minute walk from Piazza San Marco.
This district is considered as the Mayfair of Venice: tranquil yet packed with things to see and visit, from the Guggenheim Museum with its beautiful, leafy gardens and carefully selected collection of contemporary art, to the Punta Della Dogana, a mind-blowing collection of modern art in the old customs building, recently renovated by Tadao Ando, to the Accademia Galleries. Wandering along the berth part of the Grand Canal, you will discover elegant palazzi. Take a short walk from the Accademia Bridge to the Zattere for a long canalside ‘passeggiata’ or to Campo Santa Margherita, where locals gather to meet with friends to enjoy the fresh night air.
