Classical yet contemporary atmosphere grants unforgettable experience to guests staying in this charming apartment. Located in the very heart of Florence, in a 16th Century building, this brand new, unique and impeccably designed property offers four bedroom suites, an outdoor terrace, and fabulous entertaining space. Combined with the beautiful frescoes which decorate virtually every room, high-end technologies, quality furnishings and chic amenities promise the most comfortable stay whilst away from home.
ECI 0206 located on the 1st level of the house (with lift) comfortably sleeps 8 guests in 4 double suites, with an option for 2 guests sleeping on the sofa in two of the bedrooms. Decorated with rich fabrics, authentic pieces of furniture dating back to the art decò period, it is like a step back in time. The apartment of 280 sq. m includes 4 wonderful bathrooms finished with Italian marble for unparalleled beauty and grace, each one with LED mood lighting and great furnishings. Lovely 16th and 17th century frescoes decorate the walls and ceilings, fabulous chandeliers and wall sconces with hand-cut crystal form semi-transparent prisms that glow and illuminate whilst a high-end sound system allows you to play the music of your choice.
Whilst the terrace boasts scenic views of Piazza Pitti, the large chef-style kitchen is a worthy setting for culinary magic. Learn to cook Italian dishes in your own genuine kitchen or just sit down and relax enjoying a dinner made by private chef. The wonderful wooden table opposite the kitchen – seating up to 12 – is the ideal place to gather with friends or family for breakfast or delicious dinner. There is also a collection of family recipes, so you can enjoy the tantalizing aromas of the traditional Italian cuisine, glass of wine in hand, surrounded by your beloved ones.
During the restoration works charming and genuine frescoed walls and ceilings were discovered in some parts of the apartment; it was decided to keep them intact, in order to preserve the signs of the time and the mix of different ages, and also to use them as basis for creating a dominant colour scheme for the various rooms. Thanks to that decision to save the old soul of the apartment, history and modern chic now combine together very harmoniously. Each room has been wonderfully adorned with quality fabrics reflecting the colours of the Renaissance period palette and is equipped with flat screen HD Smart TV, air conditioning, soundproof windows and very comfortable beds.
Contemporary facilities abound including great kitchen utensils, American style fridge freezer with ice dispenser and Nespresso coffee machine, high speed Wi-Fi, office with printer/scanner, LCD Smart TVs in each room, high-end sound system and LED ambient lighting in each bathroom.
The master bedroom has been gracefully finished in azurite blue and benefits from amazing views on to the Pitti Palace. This room has a king-size bed, fabulous walk in shower, couch (that can be used as extra bed) and charming en-suite marble bathroom.
Sunlight pours into elegant bedroom 2 which also boasts beautiful views onto Piazza Pitti. This bedroom can also be a twin or triple due to the additional couch. The marble bathroom includes both walk in shower and deluxe tub.
Finished in warming copper tones, cozy bedroom 3 offers the choice of two large singles or one extra large king sized bed with en-suite bathroom and walk in shower.
With beautiful colourful ceiling frescoes, pretty bedroom 4 provides a comfortable double bed with walk in wardrobe and lovely en-suite bathroom with large walk in shower.
Situated directly opposite Piazza Pitti and just steps away from the famous Ponte Vecchio, a medieval stone bridge crossing the River Arno where merchants sell their products just as they did centuries ago, the apartment provides an amazing setting in the center of Florence. Some of the windows open fantastic views of the Palazzo Pitti, a majestic palace that the Medici called home during the Renaissance and which now houses an immense collection of important art. Step out onto the terrace and take advantage of your front seat views of the fabulous building whilst you sip a glass of local wine. Nearby, you can also visit Piazza della Signoria, the Bargello, Santa Croce, the Duomo, and the world-famous Uffizi Gallery, richly endowed with some of the world’s best works of art. Florence is an open-air museum and the apartment ECI 0206 sits right in the centre of it!
Florence’s historical centre is a restricted traffic area. We recommend not to rent a car or if you do have a car, to leave it parked in a private garage during your stay. Florence city centre is quite small and the majority of the streets are either complicated one way systems or for pedestrians only, and therefore the best way of exploring the city is by foot!
