The estate is located in the Valle Serena, near Palazzetto. It's a very distant place, yet, only half an hour from Siena and one hour from Florence. There is the so-called Pilgrim’s Walk that the guests can take through the gardens tasting the berries, learning about the flowers, and how to garden and farm. Nature here is pristine, nobody owns the river and the place is free of other tourists on your walk through the woods and fields. San Galgano is next to the estate, being one of the biggest pilgrim places ever and one of Italy's most famous abbeys. There’s a lovely energy there.
Monteriggioni is not far from the hotel. It’s a charming town with small trattorias that are not to be missed if you consider yourself a foodie. Guests can also use the bikes available and cycle from the hotel to the river or through the forest to San Galgano. There is lots of land and free walking areas to explore.
Tuscany is a magical place to visit all year round. However, it is the most exciting and inspiring from Spring until Fall when everything is green again and flowers are blooming here and there. You can enjoy your dinner alfresco and lounge on the terrace until the late evening.
