PRI 0166 is a traditional rural estate lovingly restored to create comfortable and mystic accommodation, immersed in a vast land of centuries-old olive trees with a Mediterranean scrub forest, 10 km from the wonderful beaches south of Monopoli, in the Apulia region.
Built starting from an old 16th century structure, today PRI 0166 is an authentic place that can accommodate up to 10 people in its 4 suites and 1 bedroom, each one with a private bathroom and independent entrance, in order to assure maximum discretion.
Throughout the interior, guests will find a double living-area furnished with large sofas and a unique 4 meter long table, a contemporary designer steel kitchen totally equipped and two wood-burning fireplaces that will make your stay pleasant even in the cold season.
In its 50.000 sqm landscaped garden, the guests’ privacy is well guaranteed. Within the area there is an old-fashioned gazebo furnished with long sofas and an outstanding large table for 20 people. The gazebo is served by an outdoor kitchen equipped with BBQ and an ancient wood-fire traditional pizza oven.
Surrounded by typical dry stone walls, there is a glorious swimming pool with heated salt water, overlooking the Mediterranean scrub forest that allowed guests to enjoy its breathtaking sunsets.
The territory South of Bari is bursting with incredible colors and shapes: on the coast, large swaths of golden sand alternate with majestic rugged cliffs, while the countryside is riddled with masserie surrounded by olive and fruit trees.
The first stop is Monopoli, whose name translates as ‘’unique city’’. Before arriving at its heart, cross the beautiful country fields and while passing by the Selva di Fasano, make a stop-off to enjoy the view of fortified masserie, churches, rock settlements and villas from this natural terrace. Stay in the countryside and make for the Lama degli Ulivi Botanic Garden to visit the caves, rock-hewn churches and more than 2000 plant species of the maquis shrubland. Take a stroll around the historic centre, up to the town’s landmark, the Castle of Carlo V, which faces the promontory of Punta Penna, today a special venue for events and conferences.
The route takes you further to Polignano. The fantastic view of the old town perched on a promontory overhanging the sea, bids you welcome. On foot or by boat, don’t miss out on exploring the local sea caves and coves, among which the Rondinelle and Grotta Palazzese, washed by crystal-clear waters.
