With private steps leading to sunbathing terraces down at the water’s edge and built amidst a lush, mature garden (4,480 sq. m), this sophisticated property (400 sq. m) is one of only a few Positano homes to offer its guests absolute privacy combined with unparalleled sea views. Gaze out across the water to Positano from the private beach and enjoy the sun on the terraces that lead down to the water’s edge or on the wide panoramic terrace across the length of the lush garden. When you need shade, head to the porticoed veranda or choose the large first-level terrace, accessed from several of the bedrooms.
On the ground level, French windows open into cool, quiet interiors. This example of simplistic elegance is divided into two separate lounge areas and a dining room, with an independent charmingly tiled kitchen that faces the veranda.
The first level includes bedrooms 1-4. These are double bedrooms (queen-size beds) with sea views and en-suite bathrooms. Three of them share access to the shaded terrace with a view. One of the bedrooms can be arranged as a twin on request. Three of the bathrooms feature a shower, and the fourth one offers a bathtub and a separate shower cabin. All bathrooms have a hairdryer.
Two further sea-view air-conditioned bedrooms (5 and 6) are located in the annex, each featuring a queen-size bed, a safe, and a shower room with a sink, WC, bidet, and hair dryer.
The villa can be accessed via a private, narrow alleyway of around 300m that leads down from the main road (there is a parking for 2 small cars or 1 big car). Thus, the villa is not suitable for older guests who may have mobility issues.
A tiered garden around the house allows you to use to the most the rocky, cliffside landscape. Outdoors, you will find dining areas, covered lounge spaces, and lawns surrounded by lush greenery. Furthermore, for the perfect relaxing afternoon, there is a heated Jacuzzi overlooking the sea. The villa offers a barbecue and a wood-burning oven if you wish to dine or even cook al-fresco.
You do not have to travel far to the nearest beaches and facilities. One of the best beach clubs in Positano is located under 1km away from the house; Arienzo Beach Club offers a lovely beach away from the crowds in town with all of the amenities of a chic beach club. If you prefer a quiet cove, then why not rent a boat and head to Fiumicello Beach, which can only be accessed by boat? No matter which kind of beach you prefer, you will find the one you'd love along this generous coastline.
The centre of Positano is only 2km away from the villa and offers everything you could need for a superb holiday. This is one of the Amalfi Coast’s most-loved towns, and it is easy to understand why. Approaching the town, you will see the iconic cliffside dotted with colourful buildings that slope down towards the sea. Spiaggia Grande is the main beach, but it can get very busy. A good tip is to walk over to Spiaggia del Fornillo, which is a pleasant stroll away and is perfect for families.
Positano has been settled since the Middle Ages, so the streets are full of historic architecture. After a busy day of exploring, you will be spoilt for choice when looking for somewhere to eat as the restaurants here are fabulous. If you would like to visit Amalfi town, it is just 20km away. Another place for a day trip is the stunning island of Capri, which can be reached by boat from Positano!
