Wonderfully finished historic mansion with refined interiors, Jacuzzi and sea-view terraces is located in the heart of Amalfi town. This is a fabulous villa, achieving the unusual feat of offering an ultra-comfortable stay in a historic 17th-century residence. It’s been owned by the same family for almost four centuries and their passion for the property is almost tangible. The main advantage of the villa is its location, just 300 m from central Amalfi’s Piazza Flavio Gioia with stores, restaurants, the beach, the bus stop and the port. Access to the villa is from the piazza, via 300 steps or in the public lift (from 8 am to midnight).
Spread over 300 sq. m, the villa benefits from two terraces. Enjoy your morning espresso, feast al fresco or relax back in the lounge chairs on the first (150 sq. m) of the terraces, with breathtaking views over the sea and Amalfi town. The second terrace, accessed from the living room, dining room and bedrooms also offers sea views as does the Jacuzzi (3 x 2.3 m).
Interior spaces are not less impressive, featuring high, vaulted ceilings, elegant furniture and characteristic Amalfi coast style. Communal areas include a living room with sofa, Smart TV and double doors through to the dining room with a charming table and a huge window offering a stunning panorama and a modern glossy white kitchen with colourful ceramics equipped with all needed appliances including induction hob, electric oven, fridge-freezer, ice maker, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, toaster and others. The utility room with washing machine, dryer, iron and ironing board has a small guest bathroom with toilet and sink.
Moving to the sleeping area, you will find 4 double bedrooms, all with air conditioning and private bathroom. Additionally one of the rooms offers a living area and a sleeping area. All the rooms are in white and are accessible from the second terrace. The 4 private en-suite bathrooms are adorned with handmade ceramics and all feature walk-in shower and hairdryer.
Wander along the town’s narrow alleys and passageways to enjoy the pastel-coloured buildings and hidden courtyards, and visit the Duomo and cloisters. Choose from a great selection of beaches along the coast including the sandy beach at Maiori. The SITA bus stop (300 m) in Piazza Flavio Gioia is the main terminal for buses that connect all the Amalfi Coast villages. Hop on a bus up to Ravello (6 km) to admire the amazing blooms and breathtaking coastal views from the gardens at the Villa Rufolo and Villa Cimbrone. Visit the neighbouring towns of Maiori (6 km), Cetara (15 km) and Vietri sul Mare (21 km). From the ferry port, catch a ferry to Positano or the island of Capri. Naples Capodichino International Airport is 60 km away.
Enjoy sunshine, great food, nature and beaches in the heart of one of the Amalfi Coast’s most picturesque towns. Explore the local gastronomic offer, feasting on spaghetti al limone, anchovies from nearby Cetara and, of course, the odd glass of limoncello. Choose from several beautiful walking trails including a downhill one hour walk from Ravello to Amalfi and the ‘Sentiero dei Limoni’, a scenic walk through the lemon groves between Minori and Maiori. Classical music lovers will enjoy the annual summer concert series which takes place at the Villa Rufolo and the impressively modern Oscar Niemeyer Auditorium in Ravello. You won’t need a car to stay at the villa, but parking is available in a nearby public car park (subject to availability, pay and display).
