After mooring to the private jetty, take just a few steps along the secluded sandy beach to the sea gate. There, a path leads through the well-kept garden, showing glimpses of this charming villa's façade, burnished by rays of the Greek sun. The shady bar by the beautiful infinity pool is the ideal spot to stop for a revitalizing drink before continuing up to the inviting and delightful embrace of this amazing home.
The villa is spread over three levels. The house oozes the cozy home ambience. Classically styled, with colonial touches here and there, it shows an understated, discrete sense of luxury: everything has been thought of to grant you absolute comfort, and the quality of the bespoke fittings and fixtures is evident in every detail. A neutral palette, including white-painted floorboards, makes a restrained backdrop for furniture and features in warm wooden tones and a collection of colourful artworks.
The main entrance wooden door opens into a cozy, beautifully furnished living area separated in two parts, with a sofa and a couple of armchairs to one side, and a pair of sofas set around a fireplace to the other. A pair of French windows leads onto the sea-view terrace and gardens, and an opening provides access to the dining room the sea-view terrace access as well. Behind the dining area you will find the well-equipped country-style kitchen with a large range, central island and access to a vegetable and herb garden behind which across another terrace there is a private tennis court.
Again from the living room, a staircase leads down to the lower ground level, which houses: double-twin bedroom 1 and double bedroom 2 with four-poster bed, both with en-suite shower room and doors opening out onto a side terrace as well as a guest WC.
The stairs in the living room also lead up to the first level, which includes the remaining bedrooms: double bedroom 3 with a private terrace, and a smaller double bedroom 4 sharing an en-suite with walk-in shower and separate tub; spacious master double bedroom 5 (up a few more steps) with en-suite shower room, walk-in wardrobe, a couple of armchairs next to a fireplace, and a wide, wonderfully panoramic private terrace overlooking the gardens, the pool and the sea.
The villa is surrounded by generous, awell-maintained gardens, whose shady pines, whispering olive trees, blossoming bougainvillea and fragrant shrubs offer a real aesthetic pleasure. The perimeter is planted with high cypresses and other mature trees, granting privacy, seclusion and serenity, and there are various spots in which to spend days and evenings and plenty of possibilities for fun, games and entertainment.
On the sea-facing side of the house, the living and dining room lead out onto a generous sea-view terrace, which benefits from shaded lounge and dining areas. Furnished with high quality, well-cushioned rattan sofas and armchairs, it is finished, like all the terraces and paths, in terracotta paving. To the left of this area (when looking out to sea) is a wide emerald lawn, on the other side of which is a second shaded terrace with the added bonus of an retractable cinema screen and projector.
Steps lead down from the outdoor dining area to the 18m-long infinity pool, which, like most of the grounds, enjoys amazing sea views. The pool area is equipped by a big shaded pavilion with built-in seating and a large bar and summer kitchen.
More steps, bordered by stone walls and a colourful, aromatic array of flowering plants and shrubs, lead down from the pool area, past another spacious lawn, and on to the sea gate. From there, just a a few steps across a little track, is a beautiful stretch of golden sand, the clear waters of the Aegean, and the property's jetty. The beach is almost private. Besides the sandy beach at the bottom of the garden, there are plenty of other beaches nearby including those of Kosta and Kounoupiou.
The villa is set in a privileged location on the coastline just south of the stylish resort of Porto Heli. For many years, the town and its outskirts has been second home to the Athenian aristocracy and Greek shipping magnates, who built chic summer estates there. Today, it attracts celebrities from all over the world, who are in search for the refined ambience and the sense of discreet privacy.
Also known as the Greek Riviera, the peninsula of Porto Heli is bordered by magnificent beaches and lapped by shining blue seas. It's a perfect place for water sports, yachting and island-hopping - the cosmopolitan islands of Spetses and Hydra are just across the water.
Porto Heli, with its promenade of seafront bars and restaurants and its shops, is less than 10 minutes' drive away. For history enthusiasts, one of the must-sees is the archaeological site of Epidaurus. Its fantastic theatre is famous not only for its size and its excellent views, but also for its ideal acoustics.
