With its relaxed Mykonos ambiance, 17m-long infinity pool, and pleasant sea breezes, this magnificent villa is an ideal home for those who want to do nothing and spend vacation looking out to sea, relaxing in style, and admiring the horizon. But with the fabulous beach, restaurants, and watersports facilities of Kalafati just 250 meters away, it will also please those looking forward to a little action.
The property is divided into two distinct zones: a communal center and a sleeping wing with four bedrooms on a lower level. A serene veranda with a wood and cane cover joins the former to the latter, reached via a staircase. One of the bedrooms is accessed externally.
The central part houses a vast open-plan L-shaped space. Three large picture windows overlooking the sea, a lounge area with a deep corner sofa, and plenty of easy chairs offer generous space for relaxing, and white wood-beamed ceilings matching the smooth grey-tiled floors add a touch of elegance. At the end of this space is a dining area and wide glass sliding doors leading onto the main terrace. Finally, an opening leads into the well-equipped modern kitchen with access to the shaded summer kitchen. The stylistic elements, the quality of the finishings, the attenuated modern lighting, and the relaxed flair of this communal space are repeated throughout the property.
Back on the veranda, off which there is a shower room serving the main terrace and the pool area, a door leads onto a landing and an elegant stairwell with a big panoramic sea view window above. The stairs lead down to the main sleeping area, consisting of three bedrooms accessed from a long corridor with skylights. The first two bedrooms are double (180 × 200) with beautifully finished en-suite bathrooms with skylights and saloon-door walk-in showers (featured in all the bathrooms), and access to a shared sea-view terrace. The third is the master bedroom, a spacious double (200 × 200) with a long walk-through wardrobe, an en-suite shower room, a lounge area, sea views, and access to a shaded part of the shared terrace.
The fourth double bedroom (180 × 200) is situated next to the suite but accessed externally via a path and steps leading down through the garden from the pool area. It also features an en-suite shower room, sea views, and access to the shared terrace.
Facing southeast and overlooking the golden sands and hypnotizing blue waters of Kalafati beach, the villa's terraces and gardens provide everything you may need for stylish al fresco living. The central part opens out onto a large terrace featuring the amazing cobalt-aquamarine infinity pool (17 × 5), a solarium with comfortable sun-loungers, three olive trees, and a roomy, wood-framed, cane-topped pergola. This latter houses a bar, elegant well-cushioned built-in seating, several chairs, and a lovely dining area served by both the indoor and the outdoor kitchens. The pool is bordered on one side by the molded white walls of the stairwell, whose form reminds a Greek chapel. To the other, the terrace opens out into the gardens, which spread out over the roof of the sleeping wing and around the property.
Planted with low-lying Mediterranean shrubs, grasses, flowers, and cacti, the gardens are cut across by paths, two leading to the fourth, separately accessed bedroom, and the shared sea-view terrace outside the bedrooms. Here, you will find a shaded area with built-in cushioned seating and a sun-kissed area outside the first two bedrooms. Similar to the interiors, attenuated lighting has been installed throughout the gardens and terraces, and the effect, when these illuminations are switched on at dusk, is absolutely gorgeous.
The villa is situated on the southeast of Mykonos, just 250m from the golden sands of Kalafati beach, considered one of Mykonos's most picturesque. There are three restaurants on Kalafati Bay and a watersports center offering windsurfing lessons and equipment hire (as well as SUPS and kayaks). Other beaches nearby include those of Agia Anna, Lia, Kalo Livadi, located within a 5- to 7-minute drive away. Between them, you will find some lovely seafront tavernas, beach clubs, and water sports and diving centers.
The nearest mini-markets, shops, and other facilities are found in the enchanting historic village of Ano Mera just a 5-minute drive away with its great choice of cafés and tavernas you can visit to sip on a drink and dine. Mykonos Town, with its lively, bright, and scenic old center is just 15 minutes away, and you'll find plenty to enjoy here, including a great variety of tavernas, boutiques, cafés, and bars.
Since it was “discovered” in the 1960s, Mykonos has become one of Greece’s most renowned and cosmopolitan islands and one of the most trendy destinations in Europe. It is popular among fashionistas, celebrities, and party-lovers, but also caters to discerning travelers in search of a harmonious atmosphere in which to relax, unwind and entertain.
The island is easily explorable in a week and boasts a lively beach life, plenty of options for water sports, picturesque views, a great variety of fantastic restaurants, and a legendary party scene. With its numerous bays and coves, it is also a perfect destination for those who enjoy spending time messing about on boats, and we recommend you rent one for a day or two to discover Mykonos's excellent coastline.
Just across the water is the sacred island of Delos, the birthplace of Apollo and Artemis and one of the most iconic archaeological sites in Greece. Equally close is the island of Tinos, so if island-hopping’s your thing, there are plenty of adventures awaiting you.
