Overlooking the sea and surrounded by olive trees, this pleasant villa offers almost everything you could wish about a holiday home: flexible accommodation, light, quiet interiors, relaxing gardens, a charming outdoor dining area and that unbelievable choice: to spend more time swimming in the sea, in the infinity pool (11 × 4), or relaxing in the hydromassage pool (4 × 2).
The property consists of three houses just a few steps from each other. The central main house offers an open-concept shared space including a kitchen/dining area leading out to an outdoor dining area, and, down a few steps, a cozy sea-view living area looking out over and accessing the pool and hydromassage plunge pool. There is also a shower room in the main house.
Two other houses, one on each side of the main house are, in fact, independent bedroom suites. The main suite houses a double bedroom (160 × 200) with en-suite shower room, a small lounge area, a kitchenette and a mezzanine level with twin beds (90 × 200), suitable for kids. The other has a double bedroom (140 × 200) with en-suite shower room, a single kids' bedroom (120 × 200) on an open mezzanine level, and a private terrace outside. Both suites offer sea views and access to the decked terraces. Furnishings, fittings and décor at the villa add to the bright and pleasant ambience that inspires relaxation and rest.
The villa is hidden away in a garden of whispering olive groves facing the inspiring blue waters of the Ionian Sea. All the property's outdoor areas are oriented towards this view, so no matter where you are outside, whether dining, relaxing, swimming in the infinity pool or bubbling in the plunge pool, stunning vistas abound.
A terrace runs along the front of the property, joining together the three houses, the pool, and the panoramic lounge areas. It is a perfect spot to gather for lovely dinners under the stars and extends into the leafy gardens, where guests may have a hammock-nap in the afternoon surrounded by the shady olive trees. For al fresco dining, guests may choose between a shaded area just outside the kitchen or an area below the pool featuring barbecue and sink.
The villa is nestled in the northwest of Lefkada, just two kilometers along a typical mountain road from the little village of Tsoukalades, which has a couple of shops and a few tavernas. A short walk below the house is a fabulous sandy-pebbly beach. A 15-minute drive away is the capital, Lefkada Town, which becomes pretty lively in the summer, due to its bunch of restaurants, bars and shops and its marina. A short drive south will bring you to the azure waters and sandy beaches of Pefkouli, Agios Nikitas, Milos and Kathisma. Inland from the property you will come across some great walking routes, with mountains rising to over 1,100m, some really picturesque scenery, and a scattering of secluded villages where the way of life stays deeply connected to the island's ancient traditions and customs.
Lefkada measures 35km from its northern tip to the exciting white cliffs of Cape Lefkatas in the south and just 15km from east to west. Due to this fact, it is relatively easy to explore in a week (if you can tear yourselves away from the views and pool of your villa!). At its northern point the island is connected to mainland Greece by a floating bridge and, via frequent ferry services from the ports of Nidri and Vasiliki, to several of the other islands of the Ionian archipelago (including nearby Meganissi), making it extremely possible to travel further afield.
