The accommodation at the villa is divided between a main house, whose three levels are joined internally by both stairs and a lift, and a guesthouse featuring two independent apartments.
From the parking area, you can access the top level of the main house or take some steps (or the elevator) down to the middle level. The main entrance to the middle level is via a long, secluded terrace with massive stone walls and a pair of life-size statues that graciously welcome guests upon arrival. Statues, sculptures, and modern artworks are present throughout the property.
Double glass doors lead into a paeceful, airy, and spacious shared space that reflects the overall aesthetics of the property: a 13m-long wall of floor-to-ceiling glass doors frame the dreamy views of the Ionian Sea and the Greek mainland, while ensuring seamless access to the pool terrace; whitewashed walls and high ceilings create the perfect canvas for modern artworks; and pearly grey flooring unites the space in a harmonious ensamble. The attention to detail, the quality of both furnishings and fittings, and the thoughtful design are evident at every turn.
To the right of this communal space is a beautifully furnished living area with a pair of large white sofas, two cozy easy chairs, a central coffee table made out of venerable, reclaimed wood, and a designer fireplace. To the left is a round marble dining table with black chairs embellished with a large work of art.
The remaining accommodation on the middle level is accessed near the dining area:
• To one side, a short corridor leads past a guest WC to the stylish, minimalist, all-white kitchen, which opens out onto a terrace with a summer kitchen
• To the other, guarded by a life-size statue, is the bedroom 1, an amazingly panoramic double-aspect double (180 × 200 cm) with sea views, access to the pool terrace, and an en-suite shower room, which, like all the villa's bathrooms, is elegantly finished in marble.
A flight of wooden stairs near the main entrance leads up to the top level, which may also be accessed externally (or by the internal lift). Here, off a long, glass corridor, are three bedrooms:
• the master suite, a triple-aspect space with a centrally positioned double bed (180 × 200 cm), exciting sea views, a lounge area with a sofa and two armchairs, a private balcony, an in-room shower for two (with sea views), and an en-suite bathroom
• two large suites, each with a double bed (180 × 200 cm), white-washed wooden flooring, a lounge area, an en-suite shower room, and a wall of sea-view windows that lead onto a shared balcony
The lower level, accessed by stairs from the main communal space on the middle level, stylishly completes the main house. It includes:
• two double bedrooms (180 × 200 cm) with en-suite shower rooms and a wall of glass doors opening onto a secluded, shared terrace
• a designer cinema room with dark grey panelling and an array of sink-in sofas and armchairs set over three tiers
• a steam room clad in shimmering tiles
• a well-equipped gym
• a massage room with WC
• the staff's quarters
Set a few meters behind the main building, the guesthouse features two independent apartments, one on the ground level and one on the first level (accessed via an external flight of steps). Each apartment features an open-plan living area with a kitchen, a double bedroom (180 × 200 cm), and a shower room. Numerous windows (similar to the main house) open fabulous sea views.
The villa’s gardens and grounds are a pleasure to explore and provide plenty of relaxing al fresco living opportunities. As with the internal spaces, the outdoors are adorned with beautiful statues. Some face the sea views, others seem to be showing guests the way to their favourite spots.
The communal living area and the middle-level bedroom in the main house lead onto the fabulously panoramic pool terrace, running along the entire façade of the property and featuring an elegantly designed lounge area, a dining table, and a few comfy loungers. A couple of steps from here is the main alfresco area jewel — the fantastic 22m-long, heatable, aquamarine infinity pool with a shallow end. To one corner of the pool terrace is a bar, while to the other is a sunken lounge area with a firepit. inspiring views spread out over the shining waters of the Ionian Sea to the mountains of the Greek mainland on the horizon.
Around 30m below the pool terrace is the private sea access, which features a decked solarium with cozy sun loungers and a jetty with steps for easy access into the water. To reach this exciting spot, one may either take a succession of easy metal staircases through the terraced gardens or a lift descending through the rock from just below the swimming pool. The decked seafront solarium and the descent through the gardens are surrounded by lush coastal vegetation and mature trees, granting perfect privacy.
Back to the main house, accessed from the kitchen, is an open-air kitchen area, while outside the main entrance is a tranquil lounge area secluded by a massive stone wall. The top-level bedrooms lead onto panoramic, sea-view balconies (one shared, one private to the main suite); the two lower-level bedrooms share a cozily furnished, covered terrace. The grounds spread further around the guest apartments, where there is a herb garden, shady trees, and a few cozy lounge areas.
The property is located right by the sea between the villages of Nikiana and Nidri on the east coast of Lefkada and a 15-20-minute drive from Lefkada Town. Apart from the taverna 300m up from the villa, there are plenty of other options, as well as shops, bars, water sports facilities, and boat hire, in Nikiana and Nidri (5 and 10 minutes' drive respectively).
Exploring the island of Lefkada, which is 35km long and 15km wide, is comparatively easy in a week (if you can pull yourselves away from the views and pool of the villa!) and has a lot to see and do. The azure, clear waters of the Ionian Sea are a true attraction and the varied coastline offers plenty of golden sandy beaches and the dramatic white cliffs of Cape Lefkatas on the southern tip. The wooded mountains of the island interior, some of which rise to over 1100m, provide charming walking, picturesque scenery, and a scattering of serene villages where the way of life stays deeply connected to the island's ancient traditions and customs.
At its northern point, Lefkada is connected to mainland Greece by a causeway and, via frequent ferry services from the ports of Nidri and Vasiliki, to several of the other islands of the Ionian archipelago (including nearby Meganissi), making it eminently possible to explore further afield.
