Do visit the boulangerie to buy the village's traditional speciality - tarte à l'orange. The village is also renowned as a major producer of violets: this little flower has been grown and used here for well over a hundred years and is celebrated in the annual flower festival each spring. If you intend to spend time exploring the region you'll be spoilt for choice, with attractive villages such as Vence and Valbonne within easy reach, the fascinating towns of Grasse and Nice nearby, and the old town and ancient harbour of Antibes also ideal for a day out. Your nearest beaches - and a wide range of watersports - are to be found just 20 minutes away at Villeneuve Loubet and at Cagnes sur Mer - do also visit the charming old town of Haut de Cagnes where you can stroll around the narrow streets soaking up the pleasant atmosphere and maybe choosing a restaurant for lunch or dinner.
