The former fishing village of Saint-Tropez (10 km) is one of southern France’s most celebrated destinations. Other jewels of this region include hilltop Gassin (5 km), named one of France’s ‘Most Beautiful Villages’, and flower-filled Grimaud (14 km) on the edge of the Maures hills. Meanwhile, Port Grimaud (10 km), referred to as the ‘Venice of the Côte d’Azur’, is especially atmospheric on Monday evenings in July and August when the night market takes place, or visit during the day to explore its scenic canals by boat.
