Nestled on the sunny side of the valley between Morzine and Montriond, and just a 20-minute walk into the centre of Morzine via the suspension bridge, this beautiful chalet resembles a bungalow from the outside. But appearances can be deceptive. The house is built into the hillside, so it spreads over three levels and the surprises start as soon as you walk down the heated driveway and open the door. To the right is a space for skis, equipment and heated boot warmers. To the left, you'll notice a glass wall and, behind it, an illuminated custom-made Twisted Land Rover Defender 110 that is for display purposes only. On this level, the master bedroom with views over the mountains and an open bathroom with a glass shower and WC is found.
Walk down the stairs and imagine that you step into the best city bar. In winter, the bar is serviced by the chalet team, so order a cocktail and enjoy! There is a big-screen TV in the bar, a WC with zebra-print walls and an office space with access to an Apple desktop computer. Open the doors of the bar and walk out onto the huge sun terrace with panoramic views over Parc Dereches forest, fields and Roc d’Enfer mountain. The outdoor space is really stunning and the terrace boasts an outdoor kitchen, hot tub and a heated infinity pool making the most of those breathtaking views. The infinity pool is 5 metres long x 2 metres wide and is equipped with a counter-current system.
The terrace area leads back inside to a sauna, shower and WC, so you can easily choose between the hot tub, pool and this spa area. This level also houses a cinema room with a large screen, comfortable sofa and soft blankets for a cosy movie night – chalet hosts can provide the popcorn! The cinema also features a display wine wall and staff can serve you a glass or two from the bar.
Upstairs is the heart of the house: an open-plan living room, kitchen and dining area. 14 brown leather dining chairs surround the wooden table and decorative cages hang overhead with chandeliers, casting a glow over the table and creating the mood for pleasant meals together. The lovely lounge offers a wood-burning stove and floor-to-ceiling doors that frame the postcard-worthy mountain landscape. You can slide these doors open and step onto the balcony to fully enjoy those exceptional views.
In winter, your stay will be hosted by the chalet dedicated team who will serve a continental breakfast for you, take care of house cleaning, have afternoon tea waiting for you when you return home and be on hand to serve you drinks in your private bar, which are included in the price of your winter stay! While this is not a catered chalet with a chef, it’s a flexible option for a catered or self-catered stay. You also can take advantage of 24-hour on-call driver service to help you get to the lifts, pick you up from restaurants and take you around both Morzine and neighbouring Les Gets.
Master bedroom 1 on the entrance/top level boasts an open bathroom with a shower and WC. From the living room, stairs lead down to the next level housing four more double/twin bedrooms (three en-suite), a family bathroom, plus a separate WC. The lowest level features the bunk room with four full-size single beds as well as the cinema, spa area and doors to the outdoor decking area.
The chalet benefits from a fabulous location between Morzine and Montriond, on the sunny side of the valley. For the easiest access to the wider Portes du Soleil ski area, the more tranquil and less popular Ardent ski lift is just a 9-minute drive away. You can also use the ski lifts in Morzine centre, with the Pleney and Super Morzine gondolas located 6 and 8 minutes drive away respectively. Situated just 200 metres from Montriond village square, the chalet offers convenient access to the small selection of local village shops, bars and restaurants. For a greater choice and larger number of facilities, the centre of Morzine is only a short 5-minute drive away.
