Chalet features traditional alpine design, with much exposed woodwork and stone and high ceilings. The property has a wonderfully cosy ambience, just ideal for a winter getaway. The main living area is found on the ground level and is a lovely open-plan space. To one end, long, cozy sofas and fur rugs make a relaxing and social place to unwind, all centred around the original stone fireplace. Plenty of natural light fills in the space, and French doors open out onto one of the properties' many terraces, which boast fabulous views of the valley and face the Saulire mountain.
Adjacent, a long dining wooden table awaits you for your mealtimes, where you can continue those fun post-ski conversation and dine with the whole group. A bar area divides the dining space and the contemporary fully equipped kitchen, which leads outside onto a veranda. Tucked away on this level is a cozy little reading corner, which may be the ideal spot to settle in with a little one to read a book or have a quiet game.
After a busy day on the slopes, chalet offers plenty of family entertainment! You will be looking forward to coming back to the chic indoor swimming pool, to soothe your achy muscles or simply unwind and have fun while admiring a beautiful mountain backdrop. The lower level also includes a large TV lounge, perfect for a cozy night in, watching your favorite series or movie.
In total, chalet can sleep up to 17 guests across its 7 bedrooms. The rooms are all designed in similar styles and lean into the African influence, offering a tranquil space to relax and enjoy your well-deserved night's rest. On the top level of the property you will find a generous double with lots of natural light and a large en-suite bathroom. There are three further double bedrooms on the level below, each with an en-suite and balcony. There is a fourth room on this level which is the ideal kids den or family room. The room features a double/twin, additional single bed and up a small staircase, a surprisingly spacious mezzanine with two single beds, sleeping 6 in total. The room also offers an en-suite shower.
The last two bedrooms are found in a self-contained annex on the lower level of the property. There is a small lounge and kitchenette, as well as two double rooms with en-suites. Again, this could suit well for a small family or a couple of guests wanting a bit more of their own space. Perhaps, a den for the teenagers, a calm retreat for grandparents or a handy space for a young family who need use of a kitchen and space for the little ones to play!
For additional convenience, the property includes a ski room with heated boot warmers, laundry facilities and a garage for up to 3 cars.
Chalet is situated in the idyllic hamlet of Meribel Le Raffort, offering genuine Savoyard charm and easy access to one of the Three Valleys most lively and popular resorts, Meribel Centre. The property is set in a strategic position for ski lovers, as the Olympic gondola is directly opposite the chalet and allows guests to reach La Chaudanne in Meribel Centre in a matter of moments. It is at the Chaudanne that you find the main ski school meeting points and gondola stations for the wider ski area. When good snow conditions will allow, you will also be able to ski back to the door of the chalet down the blue Raffort piste.
The centre of Meribel is approximately 10 minutes drive from the chalet offering a great choice of local shops, bars, and restaurants! Guests will also be able to take advantage of the free Meribel bus route A which stops directly outside the chalet, running from 8am-12.20am.
