Sophisticated and noble, this villa is nestled atop a hill looking out over a medieval village and Tuscan hills beyond. The historic property, the most exclusive and elegant residence located in the heart of the estate, was built in 1854 by the German princely Hohenlohe Waldenburg family, and showcases the architectural features typical of 19th century residences, completed with the harmonious colour of its facades. In the beginning of the 20th century, the villa belonged to Duke Amedeo d’Aosta, a member of Italy’s last royal family.
Heavily damaged by bombing during the Second World War, in 1993 it was purchased by Ferruccio Ferragamo, who attentively renovated it to its former glory. Promotion of the local area, while preserving its customs and traditions for next generations, has always been the philosophy at the heart of estate. Today, this historic property is an exclusive setting providing the perfect accommodation for families or larger groups wishing to spend time together in complete privacy with a dedicated staff for an individual and excellent service. It is a one-of-a-kind destination for family vacation, special events and meetings.
With its 10 bedrooms offering en-suite bathrooms, conference room, dining room, home office, heated indoor pool, gym, billiard room and a sauna, the villa is now a prestigious getaway place for VIPs, large families, events and meetings. All bedrooms have individual features, such as the four-poster bed and oriental wallpaper in the Royal Suite.
Passing through the long, cypress-lined driveway and imposing gates into a piazza with lovely fountain, and then indoors to the impressive hall with its marble staircase, you’ll feel absolutely amazed. Four poster beds, wonderful antiques and hand-sewn tapestries give this very regal property a cozy vibe.
The villa is perfect for large groups to share, with generous living and billiard rooms in which to socialise, a study and meeting room for quieter moments and chic bedrooms you’ll be happy to retire to when you want to spend a tranquil couple of hours. A fitness suite with sauna and private pools, both indoors and outdoors, provide plenty of opportunity to both work up a sweat and recharge your batteries, too.
