For Bloggers and not Only them: Top 7 Best Bali Instagram Spots

Bali is one of the most popular wintering places among bloggers and other opinion leaders. Actually, it is not surprising as it is one of the most beautiful places on Earth. We did our best and chose 7 most popular and photogenic places on the island to have fantastic photos for your Instagram. Why was it so difficult? Because it was incredibly hard to choose ten out of a million. We had to consider not only the beauty and photogenicity of these spots but also their popularity among travelers.

It does not matter whether you are a blogger or just a happy person who visits Bali – we are sure that you will keep these sighs in your memory forever: both in your mind and in your phone.

Tirtagangga Water Palace

Remember the pictures with the background of ponds with goldfish? They were made here. The fish in the ponds is almost tame: if you take bread with you, they will swim right up to you and pose for as long as necessary (or for how long you have food). Having enough of companying with the inhabitants of the underwater world, look around and find yourself in a stunning place with inexpressible energy. The palace is simply immersed in green plants. There are Hindu statues, pools, and fountains everywhere. If you are in proper mood, you can swim in the sacred pool for an extra fee and, since we are talking about pictures, have another cool shot.

How to Get There: The Tirta Gangga Water Palace is located near Amlapura in the Karangasem district.

Pura Luhur Uluwatu Temple

Pura Luhur Uluwatu Temple is justly considered one of the most beautiful in Bali. This is the island’s sacred place and also the area where wild monkeys live (take care of your phone and personal belongings). They have everything you associate spiritual Bali with: Hindu statues of animals covered with moss but still effectively protecting against evil spirits, the atmosphere of antiquity and magic, and a sense of silence and peace, even though there are crowds of tourists.

And yet, most tourists come here not for the sake of the beauty of architecture but because the temple is located on a cliff and suggests the stunning view of the island, rocks, and the ocean. This is one of the most popular places to enjoy the sunset, to have romantic dates and, of course, to take pictures. Not only sunsets make Pura Luhur Uluwatu Temple so attractive. They have the afternoon theatrical shows in the amphitheater when you can watch the kecak folk dance. The show starts immediately after sunset, so burning torches create an additional mystical image. You will surely remember a beautiful sunset with a view and shaman dances in the dark for a long time. Just don’t forget to take a camera or set up your phone to take pictures in the dark.

How to Get There: the temple is located in the south-west of Bali, near the Uluwatu beach.

Batur Volcano

This is one of those places definitely worth getting up at 4 am to meet the most beautiful sunrise in your life. Gunung Batur is an active volcano 1,717 meters high. The last eruption was in 1964, and the last large volcanic discharge was observed in 2000.  Even now one can sometimes feel earth shocks, and in some places, hot steam flows out of the volcano.

One climbs three kilometers to the top of Batur. It is not difficult and does not take much time: just about two hours. But believe us that the view you see from the top will more than compensate for all your efforts. Be sure to walk around the volcano vent edge and go down from the opposite side. After the descent, you will get yet another gift: there are thermal springs at the volcano foot. So you will really enjoy bathing there after your mini-track. No doubt, this will make another beautiful picture.

How to Get There: the easiest way to get to Batura is from Kintamani village. You can get there by bus from Kuta, Sanur, or Ubud.

Bali Swing Nests

In fact, Bali Swing is a mini-park with swings. But crowds of tourists make it really hard to get to tem despite the rather high price for such an attraction (about $35). Moreover, your pictures may be spoiled by the safety wire, which is mandatory on all swings and looks quite massive. And anyway, the best swing is located in another place (see above). But! If you have already got here, you can make a beautiful picture in one of the unusual and photogenic nests scattered in the park. They are perfect for portraits and romantic photos together. The queues to the nests are several times smaller than to the swings and you don’t have to pay a significant amount to take photos. Moreover, pictures will be much more beautiful than those on the Bali Swing!

How to Get There: Jl. Dewi Saraswati No.7, Bongkasa Pertiwi, Abiansemal, Kabupaten Badung.
